HARD PILL TO SWALLOW: Often the things that bring us happiness in the long-run require that we forgo PLEASURE in the short term. Lifting weights can be painful, but the physique afterwards brings us so much happiness that we got there. Working on or at a business tirelessly can be difficult, but when we succeed and get the promotion or the sales it feels incredible. Be wary of pleasure as it does not always mean we are on the right path in life. Sometimes, pleasure is exactly what we need to avoid if we are looking to get to the next level of success. Keep going my dudes!

I needed to hear this today. Thank you. I’m 38 and about to go back to college to finish my degree, and I’m starting to get nervous about being the oldest person in the class. But I keep telling myself I’m doing this for my baby daughter and my boyfriend and myself, to better our lives once I’m done in a few semesters (hopefully). My confidence is usually moderate but the more preparation I do for starting classes the more I’m thinking and worrying about how others will look at me. And it’s like, why do I fckn care so much. But I’m human, and I DO care what others think, no matter how much I try to say otherwise. I don’t think there’s a single person on this earth, even the most detached person, who truly doesn’t care at all what others think of them. But anyways yeah thanks for your comment. This stranger feels better after reading it. ❤ I hope you have a wonderful day!

"Make your hobby your job and you will never have to work again". I remember my mum saying this to me when I was 5 years old. Since then I've been trying to find my purpose. Doing something that triggers your flow state is super important. It shows you that what you are working on is right for you.

@@ColeHastingstrue, just because you love to do something doesn’t make it any easier to do. There are days when you wanna give up, but then I’m reminded why I love working my job. I get to make people happy even if momentary, and that feeling, knowing I made someone’s day a little better, is well worth the work🙂. So whenever I feel the stress and pressures of my work, I’m reminded of that and keep going even when it’s hard. That’s why I like keeping the little thank you notes I get from my clients, it helps to remind me how I helped them and feel that feeling🙂

@@animator02Love is contextual when it comes to work as you have no other choice you have to work. If you could not work and you weren't forced to work because of money, would you? Most people would say no and they would find other hobbies and things they enjoy doing/spend time with people they love. Life could be one big party but instead we're forced to be slaves to corporations. And even if you have your own business all your time will be devoted to that. Is the purpose of life to work? My routine to get into the flow state is: Before getting into a big coding task in my job I would drink some coffee and listen to some Cello music like Hauser (he’s awesome). After some days doing this my flow state started triggering a lot faster. If someone wants to try I’d recommend putting some music without lyrics, like classical, lo-fi or cello. Hope it helps!

During that time I haven’t used any pre-workout or fat burners. The last month has seen me being less anxious. I still have one or two small black coffees. It's hard to find a flow state or make your passion your job when you don't love anything. I've been trying new thing for 36 years and never once found anything that I'm passionate about.

Might be a tricky topic to bring up, does watching RU-vid/any other info media while eating becomes detrimental in a long run? How could we replace this habit with something more useful and should we?

Question, why do you change the video title the day after you upload? The first titles are always fine to me.

When a video isn’t doing well, changing the title and thumbnail affects how many people it gets pushed to. It’s one of the most important things to test as a youtuber

I know to work every day for your goals but when do you rest ? Can you use mindless scrolling for resting ?
@ColeHastings

Yeah I do that personally. But you also need to rest your brain completely by disconnecting entirely every day
