Shit. There was someone I played today who asked me what is the score every single point. He must be thinking in his head “12-12” or “13-12” every single point!
That’s so annoying ey! I had a kid in a tight tennis match that kept saying “fault” even if it was clearly out on first serve It was like he was subtly saying “it’s your second serve now, I hope you double fault”
Oh, it wasn’t annoying because I’m used to keep count of the scores. But what I meant is he was probably applying your advice of always telling his brain that the score is even to remove nervousness, which is what I’m going to try. When playing people I think I have zero chance of beating, I can play fine, and sometimes lead them 9-5 or 9-7, and then just put every ball into the net.
Blew a game up 1-0 in deuce (about to win a best of 3 match) because i didnt do the serve he kept dumping into the net because that would be "dog" or "unfair". Lost 2-1 after that and was kicking myself. Wont do that again, gotta just do what works. Thanks for these videos Heming
