I yelled at my bird today as I was in a bad mood n he wasn't taking feed properly so I shouted n treated him rudely, later on I felt bad about that, now he is sad or maybe angry at me, idk.. m trynna talk to him But he,s ignoring me soo bad.. that's why m here watching this vedio n I found it realy really helpful, thankew soo much!!!!

I have a senegal parrot and she bit me in my finger while she was on my shoulder. Her beak dug deep in my finger and my reflex pulled my finger back a little bit to fast and i flung my flightless parrot away. After that she didnt trust me for a week. But its slowly going back to normal. Im just giving her some space and handfeed her from time to time. Also cuddles help alot

yeah that sometimes happens to me I mean she always trust me but sometimes she does not want to come and she is mad and she will bite me but then I will pull my finger away so she can't but she holds on and then falls to the ground and gets super mad at me but she trust me after about an hour

So helpful! I have a green parrot it is a female. And I bought it on Friday it is my first pet. I can now feed it and put my hand next to it! But I can’t hold it on my hand or just pet it but it is fine I enjoy feeding them and playing with them. And I can see your green parrot is a male because it has a ring around its neck! 🥰

Thanks! My bird always flew to me and trusted me completely and I did a stupid mistake because of which he stoped doing all of that. I was patient with him and did not make him come to me and today, he flew straight to me! I was soooo happy! Now, I’m facing another problem though. I’m a student, so my table’s filled with books and copies and everything and my parrot happens to be extremely curious so he eats everything! What should I do?

Hello! I’m having a lot of trouble with my new female ringneck. She is a baby and I’ve had her for four or five days now and she was really cuddly and hand tame with her breeder but no matter how soft I talk how I approach her I’ve even tried a perch instead of my hands and she will not come to me she flys away every time I try I’m loosing confidence, and needing to find a way to get her to want to be near me cause even now I can’t train her or anything when she flys away every time

My bird has his wings at full, so he always flies away from me when I try to put him on my shoulder or stay with me. it makes me sad, Is it better to have their wings trimmed or no? My ring neck male is very independent and never cuddles me or sits with me p.p

I also have an Indian yellow ringneck parrot. My bird is 1 year old. How old is yours? And did you know that when the ringneck parrots reach 17 months of age, a ring around their necks grows if it is a boy and if not its a girl.

I got myself 2 ringnecks this May , one of those , Koko, has bonded really well with me , we are almost inseparable, but the other , Rio is extremely extremely scared , we never keep our birds in cage , they roam freely in the house , whenever someone enters the room , Rio gets extremely scared and hides , I've tried feeding him with hands , I never yell at him , but he still never lets anyone near him , if I try to touch him , he bites me ;-; at this point I don't even know what to do

Lovebirds don’t trust you fast, put your hand in there cage at least 30 mins a day.

Hi! Your birds are absolutely adorable! I have an african ringneck, I got him 9 days ago. She's (we believe it's a she) 8 months. She seems pretty afraid, I cannot come too close to her. I give her treats, but I have to leave them on the cage, she will not take the treat from my hand. Any advices, please? I'd love to see her more relaxed. Thank you!

I would recommend u to clip their wings And after u do that u will let him out of the cage don’t go near him .. little by little u will try to bond with him by giving him treats and toys and u will see how close u get together

Thankyou for your videos. They are helpful indeed. A small question ... how long do you leave your ringneck in direct sunlight for.....? I have 2 - ringneck parrots both male. They are 7month old and training is going very well - they sit on my hands now eat from me. Sit on shoulder etc pass - what I need to find out is about deworming ...? At what age do you recommend deworming to be done...? Looking forward to your answers.

It's only 10 days. Don't worry. Keep asking what you do. Just give your attention. Donot raise voice or get angry. He will get tamed and will follow you. It takes time. Sometime few months to develop that bond.

2 weeks is not much time to create a bond. Give it a go and train eceryday. Slowly she will learn that you take care of her and will start following your command. May take 2 months to 6 months depends on howmuch time you spend.

I love your birds and your advice! My Indian ringneck is afraid of me. I got him when he was 4 months, he is 7 months old now and he finally let's me pick him up! I have chase him down to pick him up though. He is afraid of hands and only goes on my arm and shoulder. When my hand gets too close he flies away and runs the opposite direction from me. I am very slow and don't make eye contact when I "chase him down". I always use a soft tone as well when talking to him. I'm guessing as far as getting him to *want* to come to me and him getting used to hands (he won't take treats from me) its going to be a waiting game. Just like it has been for him to be able to get on my arm. If you have any advice on anything else I can do, that'd be awesome!

My budgie is the exact same, except I’ve had him for a week now, he comes onto my finger sometimes, he’s even flown around my room and returned to his cage. But if I want to get him onto my finger after an hour or two later he’ll start running away again

My cockatiel just hates me. I have had him for almost 8 months now. He is on the ceiling fan that is really dirty I need to clean it. There isn't anything i can do other then let him do what he wants until its too late. Then I have to get him back into his cage somehow. I wish he would get back into his cage on his own. But he isn't tamed and he is afraid of my hands still.

allison a we bought one too like a few weeks back and he does the same but you need to feed it treats and get it on your hand by placing both arms around it and the bird will jump onto one of them and also you need to give it time

Hi Sir, you are making very useful content. Thankyou for such helpful videos. I bought a 'white faced grey cockatiel' 5months old female bird from a pet store. The bird appears to be very quiet, sitting in one corner of perch. I am successful in feeding sunflower seeds from hand. But i have to get the hand closer to bird else it ont it. It even climbs on my hand. However, its quietness is making me suspecious...wether it is having any disease

Well if they seems to quiet then buy some toys for them to play and put em in the cage. They are just bored. That could be the main reason for their quietness. Makr them happy.

+Benazir Asan Sunflower seeds, sorghum, millets, shell grit, wheat, safflower, barely, oats, colourful vitamin pellets. Also fruits like banana, apple, pineapple, etc.
