Yea its been awhile. It finally started to warm up here so I'm able to get back in action. Thank you for your support and tuning back in. I'm hoping to have a great lawn season
I'm due for a mow myself but it rained so I'll wait a couple days so the lawn can dry out first. But I'm glad to be back. Thank you for tuning back in I'm hoping to bring great lawn content this season for everyone
Glad to see you back Bro. 💪🏽💪🏽I applied Prodiamine two weeks ago and noticed an infestation of chickweed this week. I was getting ready to spray Speedzone on them little Fer’s but now they seem to turning a light yellow. Guess I’ll wait and see before I spray them.
Thank you I'm glad to be back, Yea sometimes it just takes time for the weed killer to get working. I give the weed control atleast a week before I take further action.
Maaaaaaan, it is great to see your face and hear your voice once again!! Thank you for all that you do for us. I do have a question for you. How long after you spray the product should we wait to do over seeding and spot seeding? Thank you soooo much in advance and i look forward to following this seasons journey.
Thank you I'm glad to be back in the lawn I would wait atleast a week after you spray to reseed or overseed the lawn. Thanks for tuning back in and supporting me I appreciate it
I have been researching St. Augustine grass and trying to figure out how to fix our grass. We bought our house last year and since it was going into the fall we left the yard alone. We also got a dog. We had a winter freeze and after that we noticed patches and no matter what we do nothing. Our whole neighborhood has the same dead grass. I love watching your videos because they're simple. Believe it or not we started with the fingicide and then the weed stop along with the fertilizer and our grass is bouncing back. My only question is what's a good routine? When Spring is coming into bloom, what's a good routine? When going into winter, what's a good routine? Througout the summer whats a good routine? Thaks for sharing your videos. I really appreciate them.
A good routine for Spring, Summer and Early Fall is to Fertilizer, Mow frequently, and Water your lawn those are the basics to growing and promoting a healthy strong lawn. Once you get this routine down the lawn will be 10x better off this alone. Thank you for your support
It's crazy that I just used the orange cap Spectracide. I put it in a spray bottle to get good mist, and it stuck to the weeds really well. It was like water on a waxed car. By the time I finished the last part, the first part was dry.
Temperature was 59° now 77° and I can tell it's working already. The weeds are turning colors, and it's been only four hours as I type. Using on tall fescue blend in DC.
@Lawn Amateur, the section were you said doesn’t grow grass have you tried digging the soil out to see what’s underneath? You might have some rocks or other unwanted materials like plastic underneath there causing that problem.
To make sure you get the correct Dawn dishwashing detergent, always look for the one that has the animal on the label. In this case a duck. That shows that it's what they use to clean the animals in an oil spill. Just an easy way to remember it.
@@LawnAmateur I really do like the way you explain things on your videos. I know I'm a new subscriber to you but I plan on listening to everyone of your videos you've made over the years. So thank you.
Hey, nice video do you have any other suggestions to kill weeds? I have a front yard full of tall weeds that’s mixed in mulch with no weed barrier. What can I use to kill the weeds fast and safe for kids
There's really no organic weed killer on the market besides a product by doctor earth but that'll kill weeds and grass. Spectracide will kill the weeds without harming the grass you just need to stay off the treated area for 48 hours. I have two dogs both 9 years old and I use this and they're both healthy.
@IQ Lawn Solutions I don't think thats the case grass is very strong. It could be numerous things roots not being deeply rooted could be a major factor.
Question 🙋🏾♀️: but a little background info first… we bought a new construction a few years ago they used Bermuda sod initially (I think). But now my lawn is ALL weeds. Now if I use the hose end stuff… can expect my whole lawn to turn brown? But after that, does the grass typical grow in or will I have to plant new grass 🤔
I didn't put down any weed control yet because I wanted to overseed the lawn in some bare spots first. But I will definitely be fighting off weeds afterwards
That grass type is not labeled specifically on spectracide bottle by name but that grass type is labeled as a tall fescue and tall fescue is labeled on the spectracide bottle. So I would say it should be able to handle that grass type but before any major treatment I would test out a small spot in the yard first before going all in on the majority of the yard to make sure. I hope this helped and I'm not sorry that I couldn't give you a definite answer.
Great video man!! I used the the post emergent about a week ago and it worked out great a lot of the weeds are turning yellow 👍🏻 have you try reseeding after using this ? I read in the instructions to do it in about a month just not sure if any grass will grow after applying this. Amateur here 😅
if i have weeds that i want to kill and want to reseed some patchy parts how should i do that? should i just use the concentrate and a pump sprayer and just spray the weeds?
@@ashishpatel350 you can apply a pre emergent after you reseed and cut the grass at least 3x. Then it'll be safe for you to apply a pre emergent it'll still help against future weeds
TY SO MUCH. QUESTION? I HAVE A DOG. WHEN IS IT SAFE FOR HIM TO WALK ON THE GRASS AND WHEN CAN I START RESEEDING? ANY SAFE ALTERNATIVES FOR PETS? GREAT VIDEO. TY AGAIN.
I use these products on my grass and I have 2 dogs. You just have to wait 24-48 hours for pets and people to reenter the lawn. There are no safe alternatives that I know. Wait 5-7 days before reseeding the Yard after spraying. Don't use the granular product if you're planning to reseed because it'll stop seed from germinating. Thank you I'm glad I could help
Im a new homeowner and I had a yard full of weeds. I used the spectracide spray a week ago and it seems it didn’t do anything. Do you recommend tenacity over this?
