Today, I'm going to show you how to stop your Pixel phone from saving two photos for every shot taken.
First, let's open the camera app.
Then, tap on the camera shutter.
Now, let's take a look at the photo.
As you can see, my phone automatically saved two copies.
The first copy is in JPEG format with a 2.1 Mega byte of size,
while the second copy is in RAW DNG format with a size of 18 Mega byte
The photo saved in RAW format is normally larger because it captures the highest level of detail, making it easier to edit.
This format is typically used by professional photographers.
Now, if you have limited space on your phone and you don't do any photo editing, you can disable the RAW format.
To do this, go back to your camera, then tap on the settings icon on the bottom right side of the screen,
and disable the RAW format.
Now, let's test it.
As you can see, my phone is now saving only one copy of the photo.
