Its so cute, they look so loved and well taken care of in a case. Im from eastern EU. In highschool i got a few pins from an antique store because they had happy slogans like "keep moving ahead" (in the science/industry domains and such) -not actually in english if course, it sounded so optimistic. Hope they wont disappear until i start collecting some, when i find the money and time. Love 😙

My soviet dad used to collect pins/badges when he was young . So thanks to him we have two hand towels filled with soviet pins 🥰 And some military medals from my grandpa (dads dad)

A note on the Yugoslavian pin (Specifically it's to an officer's cap of the JNA.) the specific style of twist on (I think that's what it's called I can't remember) continued to be replicated onto a vast majority of hat badges and insignia into the Yugoslav wars, I have multiple Croatian cap badges and due to it and the hats themselves not being very thick to accommodate the badge you always feel like you're being stabbed in the head when you put one on. My favourite video yet I think; probably because I share your love of pins. I wear mine as well and they live in a Georgian tea tin but I would love a display case like yours. As well as Soviet pins I have lots of Yugoslavia badges, a couple from Hungary, DDR, and Bulgaria. I like the Moscow News pin and I have bought the big one with all the flags a few days ago.

Sorry to have bounced from the livestream the other night. Pretty verklempt thinking about the fire. No loss of life or my own belongings, but the guy whose A/C lit up now lives in a garage at his work, and his elderly roommate was forced into a retirement -home- prison. It took almost two minutes for me to get the old fella out of there, and I worry about what the smoke inhalation did to him...I still remember the soot all around his mouth from breathing that shit. Worse, I knew the A/C was poorly installed -- I could hear the fan chopping water for days -- but didn't say anything, "reasoning" that it would just cost them more in hydro or shorten the life of the A/C. In short, I would have burned all my stuff on a pyre if I could have prevented this outcome. Sorry to be a downer.

At a yard sale I recently purchased a bag of military medals, WW2, made in Poland and Bulgaria in the 1940s. In the bag also were a number Soviet little lapel pins marked 15k showing the bust of Lenin. I know the evil Lenin brought to Russia. I sold the pins to a gold smith for the metal value. He added them to his ceramic melt dish. I watched him do this.
