Sir what is the proper way to hold strummer? Like.. While am playing lead scales with stummer my pinky finger always lean on the guitar board n tat is how i take balance.
Hi there, thank you for the question. I have a couple of videos where I cover how to hold the pick. This one covers how to hold the electric guitar and pick ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y08htQhxoaw.htmlsi=7RcJD9c4Fcclh7FN and this video focuses solely on how to hold the pick ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AtBLHogKAR8.htmlsi=HZvmy1pFRw7y3xGR I hear what you're saying about using your pinky finger for leverage and balance. But if you can change that habit so that you gripping the pick in the way that I demonstrate in those two links I'm attaching here, it will allow you to grip the pick in a relaxed way. This way your strumming hand can be relaxed, loose and free, without using the pinky for leverage. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@jasonriveraguitar sir sorry for asking u so many question 🙏... Bt i believe that u can help me.. Actually I learned some basics in music like Do re mi fa so la ti do. N like A BC D EF G... C D EF G A BC....MAJ MIN MIN MAJ MAJ MIN DIM. MAJ. bt is it necessary to first learn the fretboard? I find it very difficult to learn all the notes in fretboard.
@@user-qe2xx5fb2x No problem at all :) It's great that you have the background knowledge of the musical alphabet, solfège and the order of chords in a key. That knowledge will only help you. It does help to learn the notes of the fretboard. To really cover this topic properly I would have to create a dedicated video for it. And you're inspiring me to do so in the future. For now, it will help you to start by learning all of the notes of the 6th and 5th strings. This will help you to be able to play barre chords up and down the neck, for example. Play the 6th string and 5th string barre chords up and down the neck, while naming the chords out loud. An exercise like this will help you to memorize all of the note names of those two strings. That would be a great start to learning the names of all of the notes on the fretboard. Hope that helps!
