Great tips Billy. And one in return for you: Get some wrist sweatbands and cut a small slit on the inside. Put small heat pads in there on the inside of your wrist. It will heat the blood going into your hand and keep them toasty all day as long as you keep them dry. Worked when I would fish through the ice on Lake Superior down to -30F/-34C.
@@ididntdoitkayak3445 Start with a good quality insulated boot. Spend some dough on good boots; life's too short to suffer shite boots. When it's really cold I use a polypropylene liner sock with a wool-rich outer sock. Both wick moisture so keep your feet dry but if they do get wet they will still insulate, unlike cotton.
@@Sflynn74 I don’t suffer to much when shore fishing, but when I’m on my kayak fishing that’s a different matter 🤣 trying out heated socks but not to happy with them.
Thanks Brother, I'm not sure if I answered your question from before, I think it was a for a fishing rod, but I wasn't sure whether it was surfcasting or spinning?
@@Billyfishing_watch sent you a message on insta about the studs. Must do more lure fishing next time I’m over. You certainly inspire me to try a bit more after spending 4 hours and nothing, then a nice halibut comes along 👍
Brother Billy 'the Stud'! 😁😁 Nice one Billy. Can't access Rock marks so rarely wear boots. Great video though. A mate was talking about the Zippo handwarmers recently - he reckons they are great, and he's so impressed with the one he bought, he's off to get another for the other pocket! Stay safe & well - Dave. 🎣🎣👍👍
Nice one Billy I've been wanting studs, the three quarter to high tide range rocks are lethal this time of year 👍 (not a stalker the youtubes keep recommending your videos and always good) 🤣👍
Simple things like the tyre studs can make the difference between a good days fishing and a bad day in A&E Billy so it makes absolute sense to not take the risk. I'll be a double glover next time I'm exposing myself to the elements. (That didn't come out right}🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the tips.
Hi. great vid. Thanks for the tips. I'm going to get some new boots as my feet get cold in my wellies. I'm fishing Sunday 6am start at Loughor after Flounder and Bass. The Bass have to be catch and release. Think it's going to be a bit cold as the weather is coming from the north ish. Tight lines.
Nice one brother Billy there's no slip ups with that tip 👍 . To stop my hands getting wer and cold I use nitrile gloves with fingerless gloves on top .works well here in SE UK but have to carry some spares . As you said to cold go home..
Awesome! I am going to throw these on a extra pair of combat boots to use in the winter for military training. Was looking for something like this so I don't spend a arm and a leg for yak track styles that would probably destroy my feet running in or flop off as I'm causing maximum friction bounding. My ncos didn't want to try it and I'm gonna chuckle while they flop around everywhere.
Hi Paul. The outer one are made by, kinetic. A budget fishing tackle company from Scandinavia, but I have seen their tackle in Ireland as well. The inside gloves are just common waterproof commercial fishing gloves. Glad you like it Brother, thanks 👍😁
Hi Billy, great videos. Keep them coming! About your Viking Icefighter boots, I've bene looking at these for some time, but don't want to spend that much on them until I know they fit, and cant find any locally. How are they around your calf? I have quite thick (19") calfs and cant seem to find a pair that I can get on comfortably.
Hi Billy, Ive used the Norwegian Ice racing versions of these studs for years now. Longer than yours, in a pair of Hi-tec boots. They as you say ate brilliant. Ive even been told by other fishermen that studs are more slippery than normal soles…shortly before they fall over. The carbide really foes bite into anything. Can’t wear them in doors, if you do the floors are never quite the same. But very interested in a link to the Chinese equivalent thought. Let me know if you can please. 👍
Thanks Brother, there are two types of slippy, one is hard sleepy and the other is wet and squishy slippy. Can't predict them both. Find me on messenger and I'll send you a link. Fishing on brother 👍😁
Looks like I’ve been messaging some poor bloke in America thinking its you 🤪 he must think I’m off my trolley. He is called Billy Fishing go figure. The only other billy fishing has no picture. Ill search again. 👍
Hi bud. Unfortunately there is no link available for what you need. You will need to go on to AliExpress you've seen the studs and just search for them there. Thanks bud 👍
