My wife and I can't get enough watching this video, because of the way how you talk about the whole thing. We both study pharmacy in Germany and I'm in my final semester and we want to move after graduation to the U.S. Many thanks all the way from Germany to you god bless you ☺️
@@SaraBoulos Hello, Kindly provide your email id or contact details, We are offering Job oriented training program for all Pharmacy graduates. So, we want to promote our training through your channel. Kindly provide your details. 9492511123
Congrats Sara! I’m a foreign graduate myself and had to take the same steps that you did. I agree, it was a very long journey for me too but it was all worth it in the end. Great job! 💜
Hi Sara, Congraats! I'm from Cairo, Egypt too :) So I'm right in the beginning of the process of applying to the test. So the licensure from Egypt I have to send is the number of practice of the career or " Mozawlt El mehna"? Also I graduated from 2010, Have you hear anything about it might affect the application to the test or not? When I called they were not sure how that will affect my eligibility, if I graduated long time ago and I wasn't practicing in US. Best of luck.
Hey Sara ! First off - congratulations. I wish you all the best in your career. 2nd - I just finished my final year exams at the faculty of pharmacy Alexandria. I am currently in NY to prepare for this FPGEE exam. As you may or may not know a lot of Egyptian students are recommending doctor tamer el habiby courses. just thought id ask you if you tried his course or think it may be useful as I am not really trying to waste time. Any advice you may have is much appreciated. Thank you for this video !
Hey Mohamed, thank you!! I haven't heard of that name before. I haven't opted in any online courses, because I personally felt like the books I used were more than enough for me to prepare for the exam. I know that people have different preferences but in my case I did not feel like I needed to pay for any courses since the books I got were more than enough. Good luck on your preparation and keep us updated!
Dear Sara I’m pharmacy graduate In Nigeria. I graduated with a B Pharm, I’ll be moving to the states soon and from what I’ve researched, one has to have a D Pharm to be able to pursue licensure in the US...my question is, are there programs there to get a D Pharm degree post baccalaureate
Hello Olivia. I also have a BPharm and am concerned about if it'll be considered a valid pharm degree because it's 4 years. Did you ever get clarification?
Thanks for the information🤗 but right now I want to take admission for pharm D can we get admission for pharm D in abroad (eg USA, Canada) after completing B Pharmacy (Bachelor's degree) ?
Hi Sara I am 37 years old trying for US pharmacist. I have done m.pharm in pharmacology and I have put in teaching experience of 9+ years. So know I am planning to US. I am about to complete my ph.d shortly. So plz kindly help me out in this aspect. Waiting for your reply.
I am a little bit confused about accredited means, if my pharmacy school accredited in my country is it eligible to apply? or it has to be internationally accredited?
I'm done 2 yrs ka d.pharm nd 3 yrs.b.pharm degree by lateral admission total 5 years Then I'm eligible for FPGEE exam? Nd also i can doing job as a pharmacist in usa ma'am?
Hi Sara, thank you for sharing such valuable information. i am an Egyptian graduate as well looking forward to being a pharmacist in the US and i wanted to benefit from your expertise on how hard was it to get an internship once i pass my FPGEE and if there are certain steps i should follow! thanks in advance.
Hi Sara..I m from India...First of all Congratulations to u...n all ur videos r soo vry much hepful.. Can u plz tell us how did u managed to carry out all of ur expenses during ur internship n exam preparation year since the cost of living is high in U.S n also cud u give an idea of how much a fresher foreign pharmacist can earn after clearing all these examz n pursuing the license..? I'll b greatful if u cud ans mah question....
Do you think that enduring this journey with all its troubles has made you a better pharmacist, from the practical and theoretical background aspect, compared to your peers who stayed in Egypt?
I believe that being a good pharmacist does not solely depend on the country you practice in, it depends on how you are willing to keep learning and expanding your horizon. I can't say that me choosing to practice pharmacy outside of Egypt made me better than those practicing in Egypt, I know a lot of great pharmacists who live and practice in Egypt. Each person picks a path in life, and everyone has a different story. You can be great at your profession anywhere as long as you make a choice to keep learning and as long as you don't get too comfortable in your comfort zone.
Thanks sara for the video, i followed your advice from the toefl video and i passed that with ease,Thanks again... Quick question.. how did you study from lipincott pharmacology because apart from the first section which is about pharmocokinetics and pharmocodynamics the rest of the material is specific to how different drugs work in each specific organ system which is very time consuming and i am wandering if that knowledge is needed for the FPGEE? i am also using the APhA Complete review as a main source of revision, what are your thoughts on the book? And I only have 2 and half weeks till exam any last min recommendation or tips lol :)
Hi Sara, thank you again. How did you search for internships? Here in Hawaii there are no paid internships only volunteer. I am in the process of applying for Washington intern license and would need to move if there is an opportunity there. Unfortunately I have just gotten rejections so far. Volunteer is ok with me if only we can afford but right now cannot. Can you tell me how you did it? Thanks again. Have a great day!
Hi Michelle, thanks for stopping by my channel. I completely get it. Looking for an internship can get really overwhelming and challenging. You will get an intern position but you will need to be patient, and apply in person as well as applying online. A good advice would be to go personally to the pharmacies you're interested to intern in. Ask to meet the pharmacy manager and bring your resume with you. Most pharmacists are usually very helpful, and will be willing to help you out if they know there's an opening. They can sometimes even give you a lead or a contact info of a hiring manager and you can start from there. Just make sure you do not stop by a pharmacy during their busy hours. Hospital setting is a bit tougher to find than chains and they can usually be open to volunteers, if you don't mind that. However, if you're only looking for paid internships, your best bet would be chain pharmacies. Hope that helps.
Great video! It helps a lot to all of us foreign graduates! Just one question: -as a registered pharmacist, do you have the chance or are you allow to compete/get into a residency program? Or any other postgraduate degree? Thanks a lot for your help
This is soooo helpful. Thank you:) if you have a bachelor of pharmacy (BPharm) which is 4 years. Would you be accepted for to still write the FPGEE? And do you have to do the english exam if your degree was done in English? Also to get an internship... Which recruiters deal with foreign graduate placement?
Jean Naidoo Yes if your graduated from a recognized school of pharmacy, which is a 5 year degree program not 4, you’ll need to provide documentation that your licensed in your country as a starting point so you can take the FPGEE. The TOEFL is one of the requirements so you’ll need to take that as well and only when you pass both exams will you be issued the FPGEC certificate.
Hi Sara!!! Veryyyy useful video, I love your channel. I'm almost finish my degree, 9 months for, and I'm wondering... what about Visa? How can I stay in US during the process? How you did that? Thanks a lot!
Hi Sara Firstly congratulations for your achieving your goal(ومن افضل لأفضل). Secondly I am a college student starting my second year and I am studying 6-year pharmD and I have one year training and I wish to know what are the steps to train the last year in us please I need all information from A to Z and also when is the best time to start.
Hi Ahmed, thanks for stopping by my channel. I have another video where I talk about my internship, I'll leave the link here in the comments for you to check out :) : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k-MMIj5EFzs.html&lc=UgzP2XJnof4NYVyaf_J4AaABAg
If the time went back I’d never do it. Market is very saturated. Jobs are scarce! Retail is all about $ no more respect to the infamous PharmD! Just flip Rx’s and generate revenue regardless.. and it’s all done under the innocent “health and wellness”
Hi I'm studying pharmacy in Mete Azerbaycan where I can take FPGEE and toefl exams in USA for 4 years. I would be very glad to inform you what criteria you apply by country (AZERBAIJAN) Thank you very much if you help
Hey sara! Greeting from india First of all congratulations. Im inspired After watching your video That you go through such a big hurdle of life I also want to see myself here at your position I want to tell that im in a first year pursuing B.pharmacy and you taught me a very big lesson that will change my life
Frankly speaking im from india and our teachers dont tell about these such international exams . But i have gain knowledge by suffering too much on the internet
Hi Sara, Thank you so much for your videos, this is very kind and thoughtful of you, they are very helpful. I am a doctor and I did my usmle exams and my fiance is a pharmacist and she wishes to do her naplex exams, but we have a few questions if you don’t mind us asking: 1) can she do the fpgee and Naplex exams several times or is it a 1 time exam like the usmle steps ? 2) does the score matter ( by that I mean is it the same for someone who just passes the exam compared to someone who scores high, does the exam report show a digit score or is it just a pass/fail report) ?? Thank you so much, I wish you all the best, good luck!
Can u plz guide about doing 1500hrs internship in US after passing Toefl and FPGEE exam??? What kind of visa required for doing internship as I have study visa for masters in US but I completed my Pharm D from Pakistan so what should I do?
you are very beautiful with a beautiful smile nice to meet you here I wish you all the best this year how is your family how is the weather over there right now
Hi Sara! Thanks alot for this usefull video...im also preparing for fpgee..i am using lippincott pharmacology.please do recommend the book you used for pharmaceutical sciences part.
Thank you for the video. I'm currently preparing for the FPGEE, but I had a quick question: Does a Pharmacy Technician job count as training? Because I heard that it's relatively easy to work as a Pharmacy Technician in the US.
dear Sara, thanks for your nice explanation. i have some questions, first: does the FPGEE is an online exam? after passing FPGEE and TOEFL exam and getting FPGEC , shall we eligible getting visa in order to come to US and doing our internship? or we should first doing our NAPLEX exam in our home country? thanks again for your help. i will watch your other videos.
Congratulation Sara My big question is it worth to sacrifice yourself and your time to become a licensed pharmacist in the USA within a so tiny and hard market job nowadays? I mean American pharmacist are struggling now to find a job.... How we can get a job offer with our equivalency and compete all these pharmacists gaining there degrees from American pharmacy school?
Kora Z Z To answer your question, I’ll have to ask you another question. Are you moving to the US because of family or certain circumstances in your life that now makes you live in the US? Or are you moving to the US just to practice pharmacy here?
i got a job offer for full time and i didnt get full time hours. i had to move and find a place to rent. i really want to cry so much. and this is a big retail chain. other people are in my situation. shitty pharmacy schools are opening too much. please whoever is reading this and thinking of becoming a pharmacist, don't do it until the market gets better. you're probably going to regret it like i do.
heey,i just wanted to thank u for this usefull video.im currently applying for fpgee exam and as heard from others they introduced the APhA book.i was wondering if its a good book?
Hey Sarah, congrats on passing your exams AND HAVING THE MOST HELPFUL VID ON THE INTERNET! Just had a quick question please: I finished my first review of APHA. After not seeing that on your list, I'm a little scared and nervous. Should I just keep reviewing it and then do CPR (1-12,17,18) and Manan's calculation/management? -Also why did you do Lippincott Pharmacology? Is pharmacology a big part of the exam?
Ehsan Haque Thank you for your sweet comment. I personally know a majority of people who studied from APHA and swear by it, and they passed. I just didn’t feel like that book worked for me. I am more detailed and like to understand topics thoroughly and I felt like Lippincott helped me with that. But, again everyone’s different.
@Sara Boulos,hi sara and congratulations for your achievements.i am too pharmacy graduate but from india. I have one query would you mind clearing it. There it has been written that after 1January 2003 - applicant issued a pharmacy degree on or after this date must have completed a five year pharmacy program by the time of graduation. It mean after 1January 2003 who have completed 4 year pharmacy program of graduation cannot apply for fpgee??? I will be so humble if u reply my query
Hi sister ,iam vizhaag .sis how many years that we wants to wait to complete all the 4 (NAPLEX,FEBJEE,TOILF,MPJE) Exam after completion of 6 year pharm D program to practise medicine in foreign ?🙄
Pls I am in Nigeria working as a pharmacist obtain my pharmacy degree in Nigeria. My question is the FPGEE test is there any center in Africa they do write the exam, or is it a must you must be in U.S to write the FPGEE test. Thanks

you are very beautiful with a beautiful smile nice to meet you here I wish you all the best this year how is your family how is the weather over there right now
Hey. Sis. I am currently a pharmD 3rd year student . Thanks for the video. It seems a long path. I have a doubt like if I pass all the exams and get license will I get a job. I mean how is the job market. And that too an h1b.
joise ponnachan Excuse me ,,,But here in Jordan, studying B.pharm takes 5 years NOT 4 what about that? or, the examination administration requires that you have a pharmD certificate?
Hey please go via this link (there they mentioned the eligibility requirement as a 5 year curriculam if you hve got graduated after 2003) nabp.pharmacy/programs/fpgec/
joise ponnachan Thank a lot for your answer, and I have another question Do I need ssn (social security number) after successfully passing the fpgee exam to be able to do the internship ?
Congrats Madam. I am a foreign M.pharm(pharmaceutical regulatory affairs) graduate. Currently now I am in USA. I just want to know whether am I eligible for NAPLEX?
Hi Sara, thank you for sharing this helpful video. Tell me please, did you get prepared for the FPGEE by yourself or you had a teacher? How long time did you study for exams(months, years)? Thank you!
I prepared for it myself. The duration depends on how much time per day you are willing to reserve for studying. Also, it depends on how readily the information is in your head. If you just graduated, prepping shouldn’t take you long. It all depends on how comfortable you are with the material.
Hi mam, I am a Pharmacist working in Dubai from India vth 2 yr Diploma, 4yr B. Pharmacy 1.am I eligible to appear for NAPLEX 2.how can work there as pharmacist Pls reply
Mam,what is the duration required to become a clinical pharmacist in U.S after completion of Pharm.D in India? Is pharmacy residency programs necessary to get a clinical pharmacist job?
We all indians land up one the same question..for us Naplex is very costly itself n spending on the study material can be a pain in ... So is there any source from where we can download study material for free??🙈
Hello dr sara I am proud of you I am from Egypt too But I am still stdying My dream is to travel and working in America How could I communicate with you
Ребята привет.тут есть русские выпускники?я в Питере учился очень давно.у меня диплом по специальности"провизор по фармации" помогите пожалуйста.я хочу в США работать в Аптеке.спасибо за ранее.
Hi Sara, thanks alot for uploading the video, great help in making sure we are not lost and be motivated knowing all the hardship will bear fruitful result.
Hi Sara, I am foreign pharmacy graduate from Jordan and recently qualified FPGCE. However, can't find any pharmacy internship. I would be grateful to you if you can suggest some ways to contact for the internship. Most of the online searches end up part time and they even do not respond back to my application. I need 1500 hours of internship. Please if you can advice.
Naour Ibrahim The best advice I can give you is to be persistent. Keep doing what you’re doing. Look for job openings, apply everywhere online and in person. It’s hard but achievable:)
Hey Sara.. Congrats fr yur achievement nd thanks for making this video!!❤️ This helps a lot to get the resources we need.. nd as of now am doing my 4th year of Pharm.D.. so is it good dat I start preparing now? Nd if so.. how much time do I need a day?!! Waiting for your much helpful replies ✌️😊
Jessie Anton you’ll need to be licensed first before you can take your FPGEE, you can definitely start preparing for the material if you wanna be on top of things. I’d recommend you check the FPGEC bulletin in terms of costs and fees.
Hi sara, I have a question. Can we get an admission in master for pharmacology in USA without going through registration process for study visa purpose?
You can try and look for a University that offers that degree through an online program. I'd suggest you reach out to the University you wish to get your Masters of Pharmacy through and see what their requirements are.
Hi sara I'm having exactly your past situation, now I'm at the last year of Alexandria university faculty of pharmacy. What about how could I get Visa and SSN and WP for internship Any advice to get fully qualified by end of my last year??????????
Hello Sara! first of all, congratulations on achieving this great goal and completing the journey that many of us are starting now! you are the more clear explanations I have found about this FPGEC process and it has been so helpful to me. I have a question... what study method did you use? how do you recommend to study? I will take the FPGEE on october 2018 and I am feeling overwhelmed by so much information. What do you say since you were there already? thank and Congratulations again!
Hi Ivan, thank you for watching and for leaving your comment down here. I'm very happy you found this video helpful. I know studying for the FPGEE can be very stressful, but what I would recommend is that you absolutely have to go through and read the blueprints on the FPGEC bulletin because that would be a great starting point for you. In my opinion, the resources that I used and shared in the video above covered almost all the blueprints in that bulletin. There are many resources out there that you can study from, and the preferences differs from one person to the other. For example, I know many people who swear by the APHA book and many people say that this book was enough for them to study and pass the FPGEE; however, if you are a detailed person like me, you might find Lippincott to be more thorough in its explanation in certain aspects. Remember, that you will need to have a very broad spectrum in regards to everything that is related to our field. Try not to miss any disease states and try to know how everything works. When you solve the 1000 questions for Manon Schroff, try to use them as a studying material and don't panic if you find that there are things in these questions that you have never heard of before. Just try to familiarize yourself with everything before you take your exam. Also, make sure that you give yourself time to REVISE what you have studied before you take your exam. Don't forget to check the links and resources I have shared on the description down below the video. Good luck, and keep us updated!
Hello Sara ... about the internship does it required fee payment or it will be free ... if it is required a fee payment can we get bank loan for that ... thanks and congratulations...
I don’t believe you are foreign graduate. We have many classmates including from Egypt or other areas who were pharmacists for few years, don’t speak language at your level
hey sara, im a pharmacist from cairo and been planning to do the whole process, i had a question though, once i apply for the exam date, that period between the confirmation and the exam itself, am i supposed to be in egypt or the states, and if the states, do i need a certain type of visa or just the tourist visa? secondly, how long do i need to prepare for the test, like how far ahead should i book the exam? thank you
Hi,Sara.Thank you for your video, there are a lot of useful information. I have question, how did you evaluate you diploma before taking FPGEE test? Did you send your transcripts in a sealed envelope by your university to ECE?
Check the FPGEC bulletin, you'll find the link in the description box below my video. The bulletin mentions the blueprints and competency areas in which candidates will be tested.
Hi, I have a query I'm from India. I have completed my b pharm (4yrs course ). Which course should I take further to complete my 5 yrs of pharmacy. Post baccalaureate pharm d or diploma in pharm d or m pharm in clinical pharmacy. Waiting for the reply, tq ☺
