Wonderful video, Dr. Richard. The breakdown of the sample NAPLEX question was exceptionally well done!

Thank for providing such a great study tool for pharmacists and pharmacy students as they prepare for the NAPLEX!

Honestly, I took my NAPLEX and I can tell you it did not feel like basic competency. It feels weird how everyone says it's basic but questions that asked didn't make sense..

what do you mean the questions don't make sense?
@castro2496_

That’s because it’s not minimum competency any more.

@@kk.293 , Please, when the authorities or any of your teachers set up an exam for you, the exam doesn't have to make sense to you; that's why it's called an examination; bcz you are not expected to score 💯 , but to pass!

Thank you so much Sierra for posting this video. I did many of these mistakes the first time I took the Naplex and today (coincidentally when you posted this video!!) I got my ATT to reschedule again. There are so many things I have learned about myself through this experience and you still gave me so much information! Thank you!! 💕

Hello, Thank you for this video. What if you have graduated from pharmacy school but have delayed taking your exam? (Little over a year) any advice is greatly appreciated !!!

I would keep the advice pretty similar. Practice questions, especially calculations, would be my top recommendation!

Sorry to tell you the truth, but l wish you good luck! Be confident, you will make it. Howbeit, it is an extended process as explained here under! In the USA, the things about professional certifications are handled totally differently; in the USA after 8 years (for some people) or 6 years of a pharmD, for others, you are not a pharmacist till you pass the naplex. You also have to pass a federal and state law examination called Mjpe. Above all, for foreign pharmacists coming to America to practice as a pharmacist no one cares whether you have a bachelor's degree or a pharmD from a foreign nation! And the steps for you as a foreign graduate are as follows: 1. Concrete proof that you have graduated from a pharmacist training institute 2. You will be tested in English: reading/comprehensions and questions, verbal, grammar, etc. 3. You will be tested on the basics and advanced science knowledge that any one has to learn before matriculating at a college for pharmacists ; these concepts are the same all over the world! They include sciences: biology, chemistry ( general & organic), mathematics, statistics, physics. If you pass, you will be given an internship permit to go find a duly licensed pharmacy location with a registered pharmacist and do practical training on the job with that site for about 2 years and accumulate 1700+ hours of practical experience in the USA. During that period you shall also be reading and preparing to sit for the above 2 pharmacist certification exams. But they won't allow u to take the naplex and Mjpe before completing the required hours of internship as stipulated above. The naplex exam is 6 hours done on the same day; the Mjpe exam is 3 hours done on a different day; u shall choose your convenient days for both exams. Again, cheers and good luck to you!!

@@kisakisakye9809 and the 3rd step that include sciences have the same study as we studied at our matric and college level? If not then from where we prepare for science exams?

@@user-to8ep6ck3y , The immigration requirements have nothing to do with your requests to practice as registered pharmacist in the USA. These are totally 2 different departments in the USA and each one has its different requirements established, entrenched by their experts. Ipso facto, whatever l told u in the beginning is what's required for foreign graduates who wish to join that profession in America!
