My daughter got excepted to 3 schools in the UK but she didnt take any IB classes in schools, it was wayyyy too much red tape and hoops to jump into, plus we had to get permission for scholarships through the EU.
Thanks for this Paige. This is exactly what my British dd (dear daughter) went through at the US embassy in London when she was going to Berklee so I feel much better that its reciprocated!
Hey Paige! It so happen I want to study abroad in the future. I was curious to see what you needed to do so I was just searching around. It just so happens we have the same name so I thought that was cool. Anyway, thanks for the video it's very informative.
You have no idea how many times I've watched this video. It feels like you are guiding me throughout the process! I just sent my application and now I am on the waiting game. Thank you, watching this has made me feel less alone.
it’s the summer before my senior year and i can’t help but feel stressed about what i’m going to do. as a daughter of parents who never attended college and one dropping out of high school at 14, i thought i was going to do the same. now it seems like i want to achieve more. i just wanted to say thankyou for this because it’s like you just helped wipe a foggy window in front of me. for once i am sure what i’m going to do, thankyou for your honest guidance i would’ve been so lost!
I have interest in moving to the UK for good and studying there. I also sent you a message via Instagram and hope we can chat! I go to London often and planning to move there as soon as I possibly can. I am from California!
I'm in a bit of a gray area. I'm a US/Spanish National (both) and a certified English teacher in Spain (born and raised here, left, and moved back here about 6 years ago from Maryland) but I want to study computer sciences in the UK and I'm aiming for a foundation year. Obviously, I'd use my status as an EU citizen, but that seems subject to change. I'm going through UCAS at the moment. But having a crappy GPA, unfinished University, and zero work experience to remedy the former, it seems hard to even get accepted--which is why I am more than happy to attend (and pay for) a foundation year. I guess we will have to wait and see after submitting an application to the university I wish to attend.
Gosh this is saving me so much panic! Did you get priority service (5 day processing) for your visa, and if you did, how did it go? I spent 750 dollars for priority service and if it doesn't come in 5 days I'm gonna be pissed!!
Hello girl! I have a question, I have traveled to the UK very frequently. Have they changed their landing for Americans when you enter? I heard that the UK now has access to American police records (instead of putting your record on the landing card). Asking for a friend I am trying to take with me.
I will apply for my masters next month. I am so nervous. I have done so much research on the Visa process. This video was the best. I will be sure to revisit once I get my acceptance letter^^
Hi Paige! I feel the same way, so far the visa application has been a lot more complicated than I’ve read online and my university has been swamped so I haven’t gotten much help from them. But do you know what forms you and to scan before your biometrics appt and do you need to bring all of those forms to your appointment? I’m pretty sure I’ll just need my CAS, Visa Letter (pertaining to my Us Loan amount), and my passport, plus you said to bring the full printed application and the receipt/ confirmation of your appointment. Also what does the receipt confirmation look like? Sorry I know that’s a million questions but I’m so nervous 😅 my biometric appointment is Tuesday at 9 AM
Hi Paige! hope you are well :) I just had a few questions about the visa process! I got a conditional offer to Queen Mary's Psychology Masters program. I am currently a undergrad student, but I will finished in July. My condition requirement is to prove i earned a bachelors degree through my finalised transcript. I am a bit worried because July is so close to September and I feel like I will have to crunch everything. I am taking out student loans for my program so how does one prove they had the full amount for 28 consecutive days? Also how long did it take for you to receive your visa? Thank you, Madina :)
I’m starting this process right now. I have applied to school and am waiting for my acceptance letter (hopefully). I have a question about the “living expenses” my school is for 3 years. I planned on getting a job but do they expect me to have 3 years of living expense? Could you explain more or just shoot me a message. Thx. Love your content.
Just found this video today (01 FEB 2021)... but wish I had seen it a few years ago! I've been in the UK since 2018 --- enrolled in a PhD programme here. This degree has always been a personal goal and as I am now "retired", I am trying to make this goal a reality. (Maybe I should've retired and just gone fishing instead...!!!)
so when you said you have to have the full amount does that mean for one year or for all four years. Ie do you have to have enough money for the next year and then reapply for the visa annually?

The UK visa process, for all visas, is insanely complicated, imposed by frightened officials who are looking for any infraction whatsoever and designed to stop anyone brown or black coming into the country. It is actively racist... I want through all this years ago when I married someone who wasn't from Europe,. The reason for this is that our disgusting right wing and racist press coming down really hard on people seen as aiding immigration. That tense wait when you're waiting for your package and don't know if you've got it is quite possibly designed to give people a heart attack.
@@Samchocolate11 Switzerland, Denmark and Italy are all Schengen countries. They do not, for example, demand proof of income for tourist visas from certain countries. The UK does...
@@Samchocolate11 Australia has ended up with people in a concentration camp on an island. New Zealand just had an outrage that, proportionately, makes anything in the UK look trivial. About 1 in 1000 Muslims just got slaughtered. Switzerland just decided to treat the children of immigrants in an openly racist manner. We've nothing to learn from them because their systems don't work either.
