I owe you for this gold piece of advice, I was really disappointed with all this indisciplined, ill n unhealthy nonproductive routine where all I would do is hit ER n crash in my bed for the rest of the day- would literally feel pathetic- you're a saviour

So true! Bro - my IM rotation was chill - did nothing. Surgery - 65 hrs a week. All I wanted to do was study. WTH.

You mentioned that you take notes during residency study time. How do you do this? It's a lot of work. How to make it efficient? Do you have a separate notebook per topic? Could you pls talk about this
