Hi Nanny!!! I so look forward to everyone of your videos! I have to say you are truly inspiring to me. I'm 75 years young and love fashion. You really help with us ladies who are aging. I had fun watching you with your beautiful scarves. I love the " hat scarf". It looks amazing on you.!! You really know what you are doing. I know I've told you before but you remind me so much of my Aunt Jenny. She had beauty and alot of style. There are some ladies who look good in just about anything and you and Jenny are two of them!! Ladies with class! That's what I like. You are an amazing and adorable person!! You make me smile!! Please say hello to Moosie for me. Hugs and ❤
Hi Nanny. I just love your positivity! It's very easy to fall into the trap of sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves as we get into our older years, but you show us how to get up and carry on! Just because our bodies can't do everything it used to, it doesn't mean you can't do other things. We've got a wealth of memories and in your brain you can feel as young as ever! Thank you so much for helping us all feel a little bit more relevant ❤. Sending love and best wishes from a sunny-ish United Kingdom xxx
Nanny, you make the cutest videos! You also make me want to go thrifting. Have you always been so brave and confident when trying new ideas? I bet you were so much fun in your teenage years. Thank you for being so consistent with your videos. I would love to see more of your practical, self help gadgets too.
Yes, Diane…I was always ready to try out every new fashion style…and if I couldn’t afford it. .(I.e Coco Chanel suits, etc.) I’d copy it and sew them myself!❤️
Nanny I just have so much fun watching you and Moosie. By the way I’m hoping Moosie has another book series recommendation soon! I read all three and laughed so much. Nanny please keep doing the fun with fashion, hair and product videos! Can’t wait until next time.
You are looking sooo cute today with your scarfs! Thanks for this fun video! Put on my earrings today, thanks to you! The hair styles with your beautiful scarfs are lovely. Love to you and Moosie!🌺🌼💐🌸
Hi Nanny…..I remember wearing my kerchief to school when I was younger on colder and windy days. That was in the 50’s. All the girls had kerchiefs back then (just as Queen Elizabeth did ).
❤❤❤ Oh Nanny, please do show us how to do the cap with the scarf! I will definitely do the butterfly one tomorrow, I think I can do that and if not I’ll just have to practice with the. You look so beautiful with your aqua marine top and your awesome jewelry! I just love how you accessorize your outfit! It is just so cool! As you can tell, I enjoy watching your videos! ❤❤❤
👒👒👒👒oh nanny, I was so hoping you would do a hair and scarf video. You read my mind! And Missy, my favorite was the cap that you helped with the cap scarf. It was adorable. I absolutely loved it with the joseph coda many colors adorable. and yes, I think the scarf that you’re talking about like Mary Tyler Moore and Queen Elizabeth war when she would ride her horse would be great next time for you to show us different scarves that you had that you wear that way love you have a great week. Thank you for all your energy and ideas and time for us to enjoy , your knowledge and passions
Okay Nanny… I’m sure enjoying your videos….but you forgot to tell us where you got your white linen blouse from the video the other day and…where did you get the beautiful blouse on today’s video? You always bring a smile and lots of happy to my day , thank you!🤗💞
The white shirt of the latter video was from Amazon…ASTYLISH Brand..Women’s White v neck, rollup sleeve, button front shirt… the shirts in this video are older ones from my closet.❤️
Nanny what ever you wear ( makeup or accessories) you look fabulous, I always look so forward to your video, sending much love and hugs to you and Moosie 🤗🤗🤗
Nanny, I am so happy to see another video, you always make my day more enjoyable. Your hair looks so nice in headscarves or any other way you wear it….
You and Moosie make a great hairstyling team! You looked very boho. I always check thrift stores first for my fashion needs also. No sense paying retail when I can find it for much less. Thanks for the fun video, Nanny. You and Moosie have a great week. ❤
One winter my mother went shopping at an open air market in Perth Amboy. She bought my sister and I "babushkas", which were very heavyweight kerchiefs with floral patterns. The old European immigrant ladies wore them tied under their chins. My mom thought they would keep our heads and ears warm. My sister and I did not want to wear them, we were only in grammar school and the babushkas were embarrassing to us. Mom would watch us walk down the street to school from an upstairs window of our house to be sure we kept them on. As soon as we turned a corner and were out of sight, we'd rip them off and stuff them into our coat pockets! Looking back on it, those babushkas were beautiful things, but not to a 9 and 11 year old!
Greetings Nanny! That was just so much fun!! I especially liked the boho wrap with the flower like detail on the side. I love scarves. My mother wore the square kind folded into a triangle and tied under her chin a lot! Can't wait until next time. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Nanny, I saved this video for today as my reward after cleaning the house. Lunch with you is truly a treat. As I am watching, it occurs to me…You truly shine in this arena because, once a teacher, always a teacher. Now your classroom is worldwide, your students are a bit older and more diverse, but you are still teaching! You beam when you are responding to comments/requests, when you are telling us about a recipe, makeup skills, a new hobby, etc. You lead by example in how to thrive, find fun in life no matter how it’s going, handle tougher times and above all be grateful. You still have to make “lesson plans” for your content, create and edit.. So much of what you did in your classroom years ago. As one of your “students”, I want to thank you for all you do for this community, and please know how much you & Moosie are appreciated.🍎❤
Wow,Bobbie ….thank you so very much for your lovely words of encouragement…Moosie and I have often talked about my YT and teaching days (which I adored) being so alike…and yes, I’m sure it’s why I enjoy this so much…many similarities and preparation. Love and hugs❤️🥰
Fun scarf video! I might like to wear when working on a project, but want to look fashionable or cute. Keeps my hair out of the way. My mom wore the triangular style of scarves (like the queen) when I was a little girl. She would wear to go out, or to cover her rollers during the day, while my dad was at work. I would wear too, as I wanted to be like her. Even when she was older she would wear to go out and rake leaves on a windy fall day. I can still see her in my mind's eye. As I am getting older, I wear scarves around my neck to camouflage my age, but also feels cozy somehow. I did wear scarves when I lost my hair from chemo. I would wrap my head up in the scarf and sometimes I would add a hat over the scarf. Anyway, I think a scarf looks nice in place of a necklace, and could add a brooch. Thanks for the video. Take care and have a great week. Looking forward to next time. ♥️👒👘🥻🌷🧕👳
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose I think we kids used to put scarves on the dogs too, if you can believe that. Babushka dogs. Too much information, huh?🙂🐕🐾
Oh Nanny great ideas for the magnetic clips I will get mine from Amazon on 6th May !!! Looking forward to playing myself and following you. As always great video. Love ❤ from Sunny Spainxxx 😊
So enjoying your videos. Love the hair tips for thinning hair. I am 72 and always had beautiful hair. Now its a dull gray and getting so thin. Its nice seeing ways to help me adjust and try new styles. Thanks for making aging fun.
I have some of my grandmother's scarves and I think I will get them out of the closet and use them! You are so inspiring. You encourage me to always try and make the most of each and every day. Blessings Nanny and Moose
My grandma would wear her scarf tyied under her chin on windy days so the wind wouldn't blow out her curls and i did it to especially on picture day at school love your scarf collection i use to have one love you both see you in the next one
Thank you, Nanny. I had no idea that magnetic claps class were even a thing you have made it so much easier for me to put on my jewelry thank you thank you thank you
Love by your videos , very refreshing!! Can wait to see your organise closet. You are lucky that can have a bedroom for closet. Hope you have continued with your diet. Continue having fun with your hair does and pretty scarves
Oh Nanny you just reminded me. I have very very curly hair and back in the 60’s we didn’t have the wonderful products we have today, I used to go to the Friday dance hall close to where we lived in London with big big curlers in my hair and a scarf tied over it then when we got to the dance hall I would go into the toilets and back comb the hair into a beehive as straight as I could get it and spray with lots of lacquer OMG what did we do. ❤❤❤❤
Liked this one a lot. I have collar length hair and use the basic head band look on windy days. Kudos to Moose for helping you with your cap wrap. It looked great. ❤Caroline
Brown spots and trying to hide the pink scalp is one of the most insulting that aging gave some of us to put up with. But, it's a small issue to put up with when one stops to think of worlds horror.
So so true, Rita….and in comparison with what’s going on now in our present world..the lack of respect, kindness and goodness…it’s nothing. Thank you,Rita..❤️
Nanny I have curls by scrunching once I get the curls I don’t use a brush. That pulls the curls out . I finger comb my hair .And if you want a fuller look finger comb your hair with your head upside down and spray with hair spray. What was Moosie name when he played Texas Holden poker?
Another fabulous video Nanny, thanks bunches and I love your styling ideas, I love scarves and I love the way you style them. Your jewellery is so eye catching, I prefer larger pieces too, and I have been collecting for years, so I’m looking forward to the jewellery fixing etc. video. Thanks Nanny, love to you and Moosey, God bless!!! Love Sandra xxx
Hi Nanny. I was just thinking about that triangle scarf a couple of days ago. My dad snapped a picture of me in that scarf as I was getting off of a tour bus on my way home from a summer school in Switzerland. Was 17 yrs old. Loved the head wraps. Think I'll try it out.❤
Thanks for sharing your memory, Linda….i have a pic of Moosie and I driving to Ft. Know, KY…after our honeymoon in 1960. My mom took the pic of us in front of his 195o ford coupe…and I have curlers in and a kerchief on my head!!❤️
