What if your project isn't ready to release and your focused on pushing that one single. Why should we send them album? The focus is the single. Also why is college radio different then major radio in regards to being able to send just a single versus a complete project?

Some colleges DO take singles, but its really formatted differently. I'm talking about submissions that go to the music team at college radio. If you want to promote singles, its best to reach out to DJs that work at that college station directly. Usually each college has a list of those show hosts.

always just ask if they received the music and whether it will go on rotation. You can always ask them if there’s a specific DJ you should connect with

Great info but you left something out about metadata. You neglected to mention ISRC codes. If you make your own cds or send digital files you'll have to embed the codes for tracking purposes. Some DAWs and other types of freeware do this. Also in video part I you had mp3s. Would you not recommend wav files?

I can see that. I’ve just never seen college radio do much reporting out of those codes and metadata. We would injest CDs workout ISRC codes 90% of the time. Then the reporting we did had to be matched with a play on air later. Better stations do better but many don’t report to BDS or Mediabase
