" Be Intentional around where we put our attention" That is so solid. Being better at being bored.... I Love it. Thanks so much. Very healing. subscribed.

The different setting might make it more interesting. A few videos from WSJ is done with the reporting talking and filming themselves walking down the street in recognizable places. Some were on a bus, the subway and even in an Uber. If you can get acceptable video, a park or even your car might be fine.

Thanks for posting this. I like the idea of cherry picking the good aspects of ADHD and working on the other areas that need to improve. A refreshing perspective.

Have you personally worked with many people with ADHD? I'd love some more practical/tangible examples of positive aspects of ADHD traits. And also more ideas on specific helpful systems. I have ADHD and struggle with; vague concepts, subtleties, applying concepts from one idea/system/program to another one when they aren't directly related. If it isn't spelled out with flashing lights "Do this here, when this specific thing happens" I don't/can't put it together or figure it out. BUT once you spell it out for me, then I "get it", I understand and I'm able to do it just fine. I just can't "get there" without the help/directness, verbal cues, instructions. I also struggle with details. Some people say, I'm very detailed oriented to the point that it makes me too slow and not efficient, others say I'm not detailed enough and make too many mistakes. The real issue is I'm hyper focusing on an unimportant part of the task and run out of time for the rest. For example entering Data in an Excel spreadsheet ... I'll spend too much formatting - borders, font style and size, creating columns titles etc, making sure evrything is perfectly uniform and not enough time entering the data. Especially if someone else created the spreadsheet and they weren't consistent with there font or cell heights. I get distracted "fixing" it and don't input enough additional entries. How do I fix that? I work longer hours (off the clock) and work harder (always working, NOT playing on my phone, or NOT taking extra breaks to gossip with co-workers.) Than everyone else, but actually get less work done. How do I fix that? All my life I thought I was just a "dumb or ditzy blonde". A forgetful "air head". I can't tell you how many times I heard the expression, "if you really care about it (or them) then you wouldn't forget". (Homework, a birthday, an appointment, a chore, an errand I was suppose to run) and what do you mean you cant find it? or you left it behind? Why don't you put it where it belongs then you'll always know where it is - my purse/wallet/keys/list. After many blood test and lots of tears because the doctor is saying, "Everything is fine, nothing is wrong with you." Even though I know I'm different and feel like I'm losing my mind. I must have Alhymer's. Why is everyone else "more put together" than me. (Organized, faster at completing task, able to remember things, recognize people they've barely met before, etc.) Finally, a Psychiatrist told me, "well, you know you have ADHD right? Going through all your Health records, your a classic case." I am so relieved to have a diagnosis and now I just need to learn more tricks how to manage it, and not let it continue to have a negetive impact on my life. I definitely need to hear more positive and how I can lean/focus on the blessing side. I'm currently not aware of any positive attitributes I have from it. Unless long winded, Inconsize ramblings is a plus. Lol Any advice?

Looked at the ADDitude magazine adhd channel. They invite experts to have talks on adhd. I haven’t found a magical life hack yet but understanding adhd helps a bit.
