If you are building a deck with a curved surface boarder you'll need outside blocking and you'll need to have support on the outside so it doesn't flex and break.

Would definitely like to see the whole process as you mentioned at the end of the video. Nothing that I couldn’t figure out on the job site but seeing before that happens would be awesome! Regardless thanks for making these videos!

I would’ve gotten rid of the last joist or two and ran new joists perpendicular to your field joists at 16”oc and solid block in between those to achieve the arch. You and your crew do amazing work, I’m a huge fan!

Had a contractor build a nice trex deck for me in Indiana. Dude never sealed any ends of treated boards underneath the trex deck even after I said “hey I saw RU-vid videos where they do this”. He said “no it’s unnecessary”. I’m thinking this cheap contractor just lowered the longevity of my beautiful new trex deck to save himself a few bucks 😢

Your deck will be fine unless it’s in sitting water regularly you don’t have to worry…this guys in Washington they get ridiculous about of rain prob more common by him
