Ty I’m going into 6th grade in mid August and my whole family is worried for that because 6th grade is the grade where kids stop acting nice and become different so tysm

One of my stupidest decision in middle schools from 6th to the first semester of 8th grade is focusing on being a class clown. I felt so lonely and it did not make me happy, people only use me for entertainment and tease me around but never for friendship.

This rlly helped me since six grade nothing rlly happened on since we weren’t really in school.

I'm going into 7th grade and i have low self esteem but i'm getting more & more better , this really helped me so thank you.

I found out I had 7 periods for my middle school, and I'm going in like this August, I think or October, so Hopefully I can survive, I just hope there will be no drama like this year

Thank you for the advice on 8th grade this really helps! I had a very bad year in the 7th grade mostly because I never listened when people would tell me “never get involved in drama” and that’s just what I did. 😅 As a result I had really toxic friends so I had to drop the entire friend group. I ended the year with only one true friend which could be worse but it’s fine with me. I have been watching many of these videos so that I can have a clean fresh 8th grade year and enjoy it and definitely not repeat the mistakes i made before.

She was also suicidal(but she never actually killed herself). This is just a reminder that u need to cut out toxicity, but remember to always be nice

I went through the 6th grade online and had 3 weeks of real school with 2 periods and from 7-1 pm. I feel like it isn’t fair for me to be thrown into the 7th grade with little to no knowledge of how middle school works with the teachers expecting me to work it out .-.

So I decided to add to this advice to start off in my opinion the best way to avoid drama is to be so kind to everyone that you cause nothing and nobody dislikes you. Don’t try and be in the popular groups just let yourself be happy with the people you know and mesh with. It’s better to be a friend to everyone then chasing certain people. Also if your kind it will make you happy and fill out your personality in a good way. Also people will see you as a positive influence and make kinder choices. Middle school is a very selfish time everyone is trying to figure themselves out and they won’t be as kind. But if you are you can make them feel better and make real friends and hope to make a change. Personally I give out gum and candy and in general try to be nice and polite. I hold doors and others now like that people and teachers/employees will like you and you could get it on your record. people are shallow and will care about appearance not personality. So just make sure you have proper hygiene other than that don’t really worry about style cause honestly the people that care about you will like you for who you are. Another suggestion for finding friends is finding people with similar interests because the could help you in later careers like with music I have friends who are also into music and I could start a band with them or something. Also find friends with positive influences and be a positive influence. Don’t do things that you think are bad ideas that could get you in trouble. Take opportunities that could look good on your record. And in general be kind. And I’m a dude and in terms of relationships, focus on school and don’t worry about them. Most people have a crush on the same 3 people anyway and it’s shallow love so it’s not worth it. I personally care about personality but most don’t. And it might be more advantageous to wait for later to avoid shallow love. And to make sure nothing bad happens and when your older your more responsible and people care about you more. Also you will avoid more drama when your in a better mental place. But my primary advice is be kind to everyone, include everyone, be yourself, focus on school and opportunities, don’t make dumb decisions that could make it hard for you to succeed. Sorry it was long. This video is also very great advice though.

Coming from another highschooler, the three most important things that will get you through 90% of middle school are -Be friends with the people you aspire to be. (If you aspire to be popular, or have every guy in the grade drooling, or edgy, you will not be liked, and you will not be happy) -If it doesn't make you happy don't do it, this includes hanging out with people. (Except schoolwork, do that, living in a box is cold in the winter) -If you think you need help get help. You have a right to speak up about how you're doing mentally and/or how you're being treated. You'll only regret it in the future if you avoid getting help. Also friends aren't help, they're support, it's a very big difference. - I lied there's 4 things. Absolutely nobody can tell you what you need to do or not do in middle school because nobody is you. Be true to yourself a fck anyone who tries to tell you that what you believe is wrong. You read this, but that doesn't mean you have to listen to me. You are the expert on you. Good luck, friend. It'll be one of the hardest things you'll ever do, but you'll come out on the other side a new person. For the better or worse, that's up to you.

soo i really needed this because the whole year of sixth grade i did online, so i barely even have an idea of what middle school is like. i had a friend one year older than me and she barely told me anything, i would ask her and she basically would ignore me for some reason. and to add to not knowing much about it, i moved across the country (texas to new york) right after sixth grade was over, so i won’t even know anybody when i start school in a little less than a month.sorry 4 the long comment, anyway, thanks lol.

For the higher classes, check what your state and county does for that in your schools, because there was nothing about higher classes when I was in middle school.

Hey! I love this video. Most of the information is great! Allthough, if someone is bullying you and creating drama, you shouldn't just say, "Ok," or ignore them because usually they will keep saying things about you. There is a book called, "How to manage your social power in middle school." Personally, I think that really helps if u have problems with drama and other stuff. Other than that, I loved the video!
