Hello everybody!
I’m back with a guide for how to survive summer in Korea. Spoiler: it’s dreadful. But there are some ways to make it less painful. ;)
Also I’m glad that this didn’t turn into one big rant, because summer is really not my thing ^^;
Do you have any summer-survival-tips?

Aww Great Video.. really Good Summer Tips, your Umbrella n WaterProof Bags look So Beautiful.. Yay 36 Degree Celsius Really Hot , Drink More Water , Corn Silk Tea So Good.. Korean Street Walk Area So Green, Seoul City's Night lights and illuminated Heritage building Views So Beautiful.. Of course Korean Traditional Desserts look So Delicious.. Well Compared with Germany, Korean Summer very Extreme ? Enjoy Summer n Vitamin D. Thank You for the Good Tips and Video! Wishes From INDIA 🇮🇳
@Victoria_Lee
@Victoria_Lee 5 лет назад
Thanks, Dixon! The umbrella is from Japan ^^ In comparison to India 36° is probably not thaaat hot?! Yes, drinking a lot of water is key! That's true, Seoul is a quite green city, but there are also concrete-only areas ;) Yes, in Germany there are only a few really hot days during summer and it's also not humid. But in recent years the summers are also getting a bit more extreme, the climate is changing ... Thanks for watching and have a great day!!! :)) Greetings from Seoul!

아이구 I feel you guuurl. I think last summer was still worse, but this weekend was just SO hot. Even the wind felt like you're standing in front of a hairdryer. 🥵 Ice cream and swimming sounds great! Well observed!! That day Kaitlin taught us the card game "speed" and we both lost big time 😅 We miss you and Chris, too! 😘

We'll need to visit in June sometime. Last time, we went in April and it was a bit chilly. We also take naps when it's too hot. Haha Cute summer styles. So cool that you can visit the castles at night. Lovely tips. Really enjoyed this video.

This was so helpful! I've only been gone for a week but I swear when I left it wasn't as hot as when I returned. It feels like your swimming through the air. We'll have to stay inside the next time we hang out

Yep, it got so hot suddenly. You escaped at the best moment ;) This week I even got the emergency alert twice because of the heat, that always scares me. 🙈 Hahaha yes, swimming through the air! Even though I'm a South Korean man who served military service very successfully for about 2 years, I don't know how I've been able to get by with this incredibly hot summer weather every years without using air condition. The feature of Korea of summer weather is high humid and heat. It's super duper hot with highest humid. If it was Australia, you can just simply avoid heat from the shade and that's it. it's the ideal way to prevent the heat but in South Korea there's no way that you can escape of this heat and humid weather. Just sticky all over your body. 살려주세요!
@Victoria_Lee
@Victoria_Lee 3 года назад
Hello! Thanks a lot for your entertaining comment! Oh no, I can only imagine what you've been through. I was living in an apartment compound with central air con (wo came up with that evil idea?!) and they were always switching the air con off at 2 am until morning and that was already so exhausting. Thankfully this summer is not so super duper hot, but still too hot hahaha. So summer in Australia is not humid? Must be nice ;))

It's the same in Japan! I recommend staying inside with aircon and fans on while watching your electric bill destroy your wallet! By the way, I can't find your channel if I search for the channel name 🤔
@Victoria_Lee
@Victoria_Lee 5 лет назад
Well ... that's exactly what I'm doing. 🙄 Sometimes I turn the aircon off, but it gets SO hot in 3 minutes!! Oh really? Maybe it's too insignificant 😅But I also heard that from other people who were trying to find me. Maybe I should just change the name?! Thanks for mentioning that!!

I am planning a trip this yr from 8 -22 July. Is this a bad idea because of monsoon? Would it rain everyday heavily? I will be taking my 9 year old son who’s had never experienced the Korean heat. I am wondering if it’s better at the end of October. Thanks!
@Victoria_Lee
@Victoria_Lee 2 месяца назад
It probably won’t rain heavily everyday, but the humidity and high temperature is really intense from my point of view. Although I also don’t know what you're used to ;) Two years ago during mid-end July we had flooding and 34-38°C which felt even hotter because of the humidity. October on the other side has really pleasant weather and the autumn foliage is also really pretty! If you're planning outside activities and you have the option I would definitely recommend visiting during October!

Yes, it rains slightly more in July, but in August it's a bit hotter on average, so I don't know whats worse 😅 I'd suggest to come as late as possible, because in September it gets really nice here ;))
