Forget the shot tracer bullshit. Your videos simplify the most taught and least learned human endeavor better than anyone( tour pro, teaching pro,RU-vid "pro") I've ever watched or read. Keep doing exactly what you do,please!Jimmy, you and Old Man Pat from Golf mates show us all how to simplify, mentally and physically, this game that we love to play but never quite figure out by using common sense and checking our ego at the parking lot.
I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love all your videos. You speak directly to the 99% of us out here who are just trying our best to play decent, respectable golf and fully enjoy this wonderful sport. Your tips cut through all the super-technical BS (that I still admittedly watch almost every day) that only ends up getting me thinking about too much at the same time and thereby screwing up my entire swing. So thanks for helping me think more simply and more clearly - and thanks also for making me laugh out loud while I learn how to play this game better. Good luck and keep doing what you're doing. You make golf fun again!
I’m old and my brain is slow, but the concepts and ideas you talk about make sense to me. It’s like finding someone who speaks my language. Thank you and keep it going!!
Just recently found your channel, SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE, what a concept! Been working at the range, taking it to Woods Fort tomorrow, stay in play off the tee , then off to the hot tub !
Another great video Jimmy. That is the best description of the golf swing I have ever seen. You’re the only channel I watch for golf tips and advice now.
Dude... Basic simple to the point no commas! Best vid I've ever seen for 90s and 100s players. This basic instruction will eventually turn these players into 80s and so on with correct practice. Wisdom in simplicity! Bravo.
Good one Jimmy. One of your ideas (which seems to have gone) is the 70% power swing, which I love and will use forever. Your approach to this is so original - you're a very talented presenter too!
I love how you make playing golf so simple. I have filled my head with crazy swing thoughts and tips that have me hitting the ball all over the place. I can't even break 90! I'm going to start using your tips and leave the driver in the bag most of the time.
Coming from a baseball / softball background I greatly appreciate this video! I was told the same thing, that the swing was the same but on a different plane. Loving the simple tips and swing thoughts!
Great video as always. Instead of a shot tracer you should incorporate a real-time zoom on the shot the way Good Good does it - you might need a dedicated camera guy for that though. Either way, I'm loving the videos. I have a nasty habit of constantly changing up my swing - every time I come home from the range/course a have new swing thoughts that I want to integrate. All in the hopes of an extra 10 yards or whatever. This leads to stress (mental + physical) and worse golf/scores. I'm currently at 18HCP; this season the goal is to get sub 10 HCP using the Tropicana Method (butt to the button, no hero shots, chill the F out and have fun) - wish me luck 🍀
Really enjoy how you simplify the game . As a former baseball player I've had the hardest time getting a proper golf swing , but throwing a large heavy ball was a good explanation. I'm going to try that.
I discovered your channel a week or so ago. Jim, there is athletic simplicity here, and it is so welcoming from an execution perspective. As I come out of New England winter on a trip south a few weeks from now, I'm going to organize my approach to getting back into the game by following a number of your basic fundamentals. I know there is a high probability I can perform them with success. You present an organized KISS approach which will get me off on the right foot. Thanks for your ideas, they present a doable framework I know I can handle.
I like your channel and your advice. One quibble today: Ben Hogan, in his Five Fundamentals book, likens the golf swing to a two handed basketball bounce pass, just as you do.
Jimmy you don't need to use them shot tracers you are thr real deal what you teach is pure sensibility it's fantastic keep up this great work thank you you are best around by far and I'm from the UK
Another really powerful video. One of the best explanations of the swing. Thanks man. I am going to throw the ball tomorrow and see if I avoid the blow up holes!
I'm like you, I can't have all that shit going on in my mind while I swing. I watched your video last week (arms glued to chest Ben Hogan) and have had the best week of golf of my life. I've only been playing a year. Never got a birdie in one year, I've had three in the last week and my score has come WAY down. My hardest issue now is just relaxing on every swing. I still tense up.
Jimmy I will say it again You are making a lot of so called RU-vid golf specialists looking a bit silly with all their nonsense. Keep those videos coming my friend. Jerry In the center of Brazil.
Love your style m8 pretty well using the KISS system. I have had that many thoughts going thru my head lately when I swing. After getting down to a 12 handicap from 21 in 8 months I have started stagnating or even going backwards. Going to start using your few swing thoughts and hopefully get back on track towards a single figure HC. Cheers
JImmy, I have a question...Many instructional videos advise that you get the hands ahead of the ball and de loft the club...I can understand this if it's windy...But why turn a 7 iron into a 6 or a 5? Why not allow the club to do what it was designed to do? I'm thankful that you have simplified the game with your common sense advice!
When you line up in front of the camera facing us, could you line up completely as when you swing. I want to see your right foot placement. Thank you & keep up the great work.
Jimmy I struggle with having a consistent bottom of my swing. I can have a fat, thin and flush off club on same hole. I only take a divot when I chunk a fat shot where the sod behind the ball travels about as far as the ball:). Any advice you can give is appreciated. Love your videos
Weird, but your Jacuzzi method on long putts worked better for me envisioning the people you mention in the hot tub. On long putts I usually leave the pin in to give me a vertical element and better depth perception. Same with the people ! And, I don't want to hit it too hard, not that someone gets nailed in the face.
Like your show cause its different, playing holes without editing, one swing thought, do not focus on body parts. You're right, get that swing thought, wave to Camara or bowling ball and you have it. Tracers are overrated and doesn't mean anything to the average golfer. If players would listen to your no nonsense advice they would knock dozens of strokes off like using safe clubs, taking 3 strokes with irons to reach oar 5s. Most importantly accepting a bogey and moving on.
Best golf videos period from you and the other nasty perro much love and the tips have honestly really really helped me, I did the bump and shmacked that shit today.
Tracers are fakers man. Trust me. Thanks for watching and for the comment. As a courtesy Tropicana would like to offer you 20% off to support our merch. visit tropicanagolfshop.com/collections/tropicana-merch and use code TROP20
If 98 out of 100 shots lmao........ even pros don't fit the criteria for not wanting to watch your video. Nice infomercial tactic lol. With that said, I couldn't agree more with what you say in the video.......most of us amateurs think WAY too much about hitting spots vs swinging 1st before all else. By hitting spots, we cease swinging and take our game out of the equation before it ever had a chance.
Bro how is every comment u have positive?? I actually watch your videos but find it hard to believe that u dont get roasted for the simplicity of them. Also what you play off? Dont get me wrong i rekn u cud help ppl with thsi stuff but honestly what u shoot?
@@TropicanaEntertainment good fella for replying mate. I like that! 🤠 well simplistic is good but given the content out there these days you would think ppl would want more 'swing tips'. After years of swing tips I have in fact got worse but now am realising you must keep it simple! Was just making a point that you don't get any negative feedback and wanted to see if you just blocked me lol. Anyways keep up the good shit man. I'm from Australia and watch your videos all the time 👍🏾👌🏾
I am a new subscriber… I don’t need more swing tips… I now want to hit the ball into the jacuzzi and to tap in for „my par“ which is the course par+2 to get a +36hcp first… next spring I want to tap in for bogey to get a +18 Hcp… The only thing I say now is : Let’s go! 🤠
Like your simple approach on how to play golf, plus you don’t rattling on like an old history teacher you get right to the meat & potatoes and make it easy for everyone. Thank you. My ride has arrived. I’m out of here.
In the end, Jimmy, what you are saying is just plain common sense of body movement, You can tell a bad swing automatically....because it just does not have real athletic flow to it.
