Chasing is also hard when the lead is shallow and super fast (low ackerman guys take note) going wide when leading makes it so much more better experience for the chaser. I see too many drift trains that are super shallow angle and they're just speed running through the track smh.

Somebody pin this comment. Literally, what CarX players don't realize is that the more ackerman you have the wider you can drift (more tandems) and quicker you can transition. This means you can transition and STAY on the lead drivers door LONGER instead of correcting the trajectory of the car to stay sideways. Ackerman literally KEEPS YOU SIDEWAYS. The biggest reason most people reduce Ackerman is because they don't want to spin out. EMBRACE IT! Thats just a part of drifting. Get your car's tune dialed in with trial and error. Without realizing it, when you run low ackerman, you are slowing down the momentum of the car, preventing you from unlocking the full potential of how the car wants to transition and manuever. Drifting is literally about shifting the car's momentum. But, when CarX players make the ackerman low, they are killing there chances of getting on doors faster and transitioning quicker. To prevent less spinning out, all they need to do is drop the tire pressure to a relative amount of grip, find a good suspension setup with decent damper stiffness, rebound, and boom, they will be good to go. Drifting is about driving sideways in sync with one another. Not racing away in hopes to gap the other person with low ackerman.

the one thing most people don’t understand is you need to leave room for transition’s otherwise you mess yourself up and the lead driver. from all the years of drifting in games, on sim and irl i’ve just learned to master throttle control and breaking. when you think realistically with drifting in a game you just gotta think and if you have done it irl it’s easier to understand but you just gotta know what your doing in order to know what’s gonna cause a crash or ruin your flow
