Here is the long awaited much requested tailoring video for your Levi’s 501s. I explain step by step how to tailor denim to give them a bootcut look similar to the saint Laurent D17. If you have any questions leave them down in the comments. Love you all!

Cool. Didn't know about widening that bottom hem this way. I'd recommend pressing the side seam open tho. Will make the seam look flat and like the original seam. !

Awesome video! Have you tried sewing the inseam instead of the outseam? I find it's a lot less tedious and then you don't have to restitch the waist band

I did do it that way for a while but realized it isn’t as accurate and doesn’t look as good

That was sweet 👍 so at the bottom of the needles when your doing the thigh tapper you just flare the sewing out above/at the knee to the edge of the pant? Pretty obvious I guess but otherwise you’d just stop at the end of the pins 😅

Exactly yeah I would just take the taper a bit past the knee then gradually go outwards

After you cut up the inseam and match the sides to give the bottom hem more room..do you just sew a straight line up to where you stopped opening it?
