I already failed step one. My Simpson PT-27 is jammed with the strips still inside. Should I just take it apart to unjam it manually and then lubricate when putting back together?
Depends but if the barrel assembly being jammed is the reason the strip is stuck, you're not going to get very far. If you can release that barrel then give it a try.
It's on my to get list but I don't have one yet, nor have I ever seen one in person. I know it is a co-active piston tool like the DX-400 which I have featured. I've been keeping an eye on them and may have one in a few months so it may pop up before too long.
I'm not pleasing everyone. The purpose of this channel, should something happen to me, is give the family an idea as to what they have to deal with. I'm not investing into equipment just for that.
