Many thanks helped a treat - had to unblock the fan - I did not need to remove the heatsink assembly just untape the joint between fan and heating then remove the 3 small screws from underneath and get the hoover out...
This instruction has one problem. If you take a look at 3:39 and 1-2cm above the screwdriver then you will see that there is no screw there. It must have been removed when someone was doing the previous disassembly. That screw is actually responsible for holding the DVD drive. That means that taking out the DVD at the beginning is simply impossible and that's why many people commented about breaking it. The correct order is to first remove the two screws holding the keyboard at the bottom, then remove the keyboard, then you can remove the screw holding the DVD and then you can continue with the rest.
My Brothers laptop is saying Operating System Not Found All of a sudden without nothing to show there was anyting wrong with the laptop but I here it might be the harddrive because i cant even reinstall The OS it finds the HDD but the OS wont start installing it just stays at 0% So I just wanted to know where the hard drive is because i maybe I need to take it out and place it back in…
when I tried to pry mine open, I could not understand why there were cracking sounds. it turned out that I had broken every single snapythingy along the sides ;-; oh... and my DVD drive broke in the process
Repeat after me: I will not attempt to repair computer equipment. I will not take any more tech devices apart. I will take my tech items to a professional for repair. I am too dumb to be allowed to take a computer apart. Note, you DVD drive did not "break in the process". You broke it, plain and simple.
Bylo he probably has a "system password" on the laptop. So if you turn on the laptop it will ask for a password, before it reaches the "windows password/log on" screen. The only way to reset the system password, is to remove the BIOS battery or in correct terms the "CMOS battery"
From what I know all you need to reset every BIOS of every computer is to simply remove that battery (on the back of the motherboard and next to the RAM) out and put it back again
