If your pots and pans ain’t broke, don’t get rid of em! Cast Iron Kyle is from my home state of New Jersey, and he knows more about cast iron than I know about… maybe anything. Come on a journey with me to hunt for some vintage cast iron pans and fix em up good as new - a free Master’s Degree in cookware with Kyle Seip.
Here’s what Professor Pipe’s gonna teach us:
🏎️ how to pick the best pots and pans at thrift stores and flea markets
🏎️ how to tell the difference between a high-quality cast iron and a cheaply made one
🏎️ which cast iron brands and logos to keep an eye out for
🏎️ what kinds of problems and damage are fixable and which ones aren’t
🏎️ how to remove rust from a cast iron
🏎️ how to get rid of that built-up sulfur, crust, and grime
🏎️ how to season and take care of your cast iron
🏎️ how to be a great grandson and all-around sweetheart
Many thanks to the city of Trenton for welcoming me with open arms alongside your unofficial mayor Kyle!!!

They are a little rusty and havent cleaned them up yet. I hang all of my pans on the wall near my stove.
