Is it better to use cannons or carronades? I know that cannons are much better at range but when I use carronades it absolutely demolishes up close. What is best to use ?
Hello leerisely It all depends on what you want to go for , personal choice , Like you said , long guns have the accuracy however carro are much more devastating. Personally , I find the long guns the better option in most cases , as I'm pretty good at sniping those sturn and bow rakes in , which you can't do with carro at a distance. It's honestly just personally choice, use what best works for you
Hello knom:) Personally I like a bit of speed / turn rate so I usually go sab sab , however bap likes to go more tank and generally goes liveoak white oak , all down to personal preference

Hello kab :) 😆 they are pretty spot on aren't they So I think I have the gunner perk maxed out , I have all long guns on , and I may have even stuck a Congreve sight on which is a cheap upgrade but helps that little bit more
Hello muzzy Depends what your into Gunner and sailing are a must The boarding lvl 2 ( I think ) prevents you from being boarded by players so much Bravery 2 is great if your going against many ships Combat repairs goes great with that also
hello damius :) ha yea naaa , one single one on its own yes , two .... no 2 players can work much better together than the Ai XD not bad was it :) , was a close call when i desynced XD
@@MoisTeaGaming Nice play, it surely takes some nerves staying that close and knowing the next broadside might send you to hell.. >:-D What's the thing with desyncs though? Don't remember it being like that in the past (early access player here, but not too many hours in). Reinstalled NA this summer and desyncs in either OW or battles really plagued me in the last 14 days.

I find some concepts of this game really stupid, like this whole armor and repairs, also dismasting that can only be done after you deal with this stupid armor. Why chain and ball shot can't dismast the ship when you shoot at mast and rigging? It's idiotic.
You can though. You just need to hit your shots. The damage model in the game takes into account what your shots do once they have penetrated the armor, including hitting the roots of the masts as the shots travel through the length of the enemy ship. Chain shots don't do much damage to the masts by themself, and are designed to rip and tear open sails, not wrap around and fell masts like they do in Pirates of the Caribbean.
Games changes a lot since , and again just yesterday with the new season patch But that got changed anyway with the demasting Ships did have thick walls for protection , victory I think was 3 foot thick of English oak Repairing that in mid battle would not happen but it's more for gameplay
@@MoisTeaGaming The game is like Naval Action, but much more attractive. There are more options when it comes to tasks, the speed of the game is a little faster. Download and then you can choose the language and try it out, I think you will like it 😉.
