this is one method in which you can grab yourself a nice big boat .... for free. with just a bit of guidance you'll be floating around in any ship you want no matter of rank.
It did get a bit sketchy that one I must admit ! having marines would have really helped but yes I'm glad you enjoyed my suffering :P shows its possible !
I never really played the peace server, I mostly play on the new Caribbean server currently however I have mostly played on the War server. Why do you ask ?
If you were to join on the other servers then we could for sure I honestly don't think iv ever gotten anywhere with the peace server , I need some risk
sticking a upgrade called Nassau boarders on as well will help you along, and a perk called dreaded I think, which will make your attacks cheaper and hammer enemy moral faster :)
the game was fun. Since the guns and armor have been changed so extrem for the worse, it's absolutely no fun anymore. now it just feels like grinding down HP. it's terrible to see how the developers simply don't care about the voice of their own community. They prefer to chase away all the players who used to love the game.
there are many grudges about this game and how its changed which has scared off many veterans which I completely understand. the changes which have been implemented have meant many of my favorite tactics of old are no longer valid however iv learnt to play with the way things are now and made new ones :)
@@MoisTeaGaming I can't speak for SOPHIC, but as someone who comes and goes and never manages to get beyond 5th rates, a boarding how-to (like what to press and when, how to get the enemy ship to slow down enough for smaller vessels, etc), final exam tutorial, even a crafting overview or good ship loadouts for pvp / pve would be very helpful. There's a lot to the game that feels like a mystery to us newish players.
I uploaded a how to tutorial video just yesterday :) This covers them all and features lots of boarding in it which you may find useful untill I do a dedicated video on boarding itself. I have a few notes I was working on last night on a few topics I will cover over the next few videos :)
Cheers buddy :) Changing to another ship I presume you mean floating about in another ship ? This video is a bit more of the extreme side where I am at a major disadvantage. On a level playing field boarding and capturing ships is super easy ( with practice ) That will probably be my next video tbh , a dedicated ai boarding video. Personally iv always found capturing ships to be quite satisfying as you call sell them if you don't like them .... an ditsy saves your pennies instead of buying a meh ship. Crafted ships are 100% betelter if you get the resources however costs a fair bit if cash which as a new player your probably just wanting to sail around trying different ships. Fantastic video! But you went rather fast at the end. After confirming transfer of crew to the prize, does that blue screen automatically come up where you hit Retreat? New guy here.
I'm glad you liked it :) After transferring the crew over I clicked M to get the map up , then made it retreat You usually have to be fast in case it takes on too much water and sinks before I can leave , which iv had happen before , I had it just yesterday when I accidently put one too many holes in the santi and it sank 😱
at the time , it was when it was a new season and thats all the crew i had , but i also want to prove a point that you dont need full compliments of crew to get somewhere , however , that is no longer the case XD
In this i think i was using Locust (S) Sabacu (S) , for guns i used 24pd mediums on bottom and middle deck and then i think 9 pd on top 2 decks ... all Medium guns. nothing fancy :)

the game would be fun if it wasn't for those unhistorical maneuvers of ships and annoying AI taking over the ship when it starts to lose and it always has more crew and that sucks, there are many cooler games.I would prefer something like Ultimate Admiral: Age of Sail only without those unnecessary fights on land that spoil the whole thing ...
which maneuvers are you referring too ? what do you mean by the AI taking over when it starts to lose ? do you mean your own ship ? I'm afraid I don't understand the AI doesn't always have more crew, some have less some have more than the ship default which is also achievable by the player I have recently bought the age of sail game and yet to fully explore it, it used all the same models and such from naval action which is nice and the combat feels similar , if not a bit more Arcady but i find not too much so :)
the Ai does tend to be a little on the faster side if you have the same class of ship, especially the elite ships however there not as good at sailing upwind like a human and tend to get confused so you can always use that to your advantage.
@@MoisTeaGaming Because I watched the Video to know more about boarding higher Ships. If I shoot my targets down, they deal me to much dmg over the time. Any tips? Can I catch a class 3 Ship with an class 6 (because my ship is so small?)
@@Timo-F93 you can but you will be there for a while and one good broadside and your done. Try make it so the enemy ship isn't targeting you like I did in the beginning of this video where I strung them along for a while, or have you tried that ?
@@MoisTeaGaming I start the game for 3 days. So no, but I sink already vs a class 7 ship, controlled by an admiral with a looki rune. It was frustated...
@@MoisTeaGaming sorry for asking so many questions but Can you tell me the best wood for 1st-3rd rate ships for boarding and or tanking they messed with the whole build thing nerfing basically everything Like pre wipe live oak , sabicu. On redoubtable was 10k+ hp sides now it’s just breaking 5k and can’t get above 73 armor

@@johnathanburke4872 pve server and war server are both dead mate , pointless being there tbh , The Devs always change the game a lot every time , does get annoying , they call it rebalancing but they have been doing this going back and forth for years
And usual nothing is the same as Devs have changed stuff without documentation. Now there is some formula as to what you can take. I just tried to take an LVG and I was in a Endymion..... Would not let me take it. I had 357 crew left on my ship. Makes no fucking sense. Some guy on the server told me the Total Crews of both ship can't be over my Total crew Rating. So do the math here... LVG Crew is 350 and My nax crew is 420. 420-350 leaves 70 crew for me as my total crew is 420. He had no ide wtf he was talking about and he's giving advise out on the server. Sept. 10th 2023.
Hello huh That doesn't make any sense to me , you can take a ship in combat even if its not fully crewed , then go to port with it. You can't under crew ships though while trying to leave port , maybe that's what they were referring too
I had a look at this , never heard of it before so thank you however its far too Arcady for me, reminds me of black flag which was a cool game but I didn't get the nostalgia hit sometimes when you reload at 20 times a minute and accelerate like a rocket. it does look nice though.
