Experiments are interesting and exciting - thanks for sharing yours 😍. I haven’t tried propagating cuttings directly into soil before - I wonder what other plants could be propagated this way 🧐
You have done a LOT of cuttings! You gave many helpful tips, especially about the nodes and the perlite. When I do my cuttings, I use root hormone powder or gel.
Thank you, I am glad to hear that you found the video helpful. . I did you once with the Gel but I couldn't tell the difference since then I am using it again. How are your cuttings going? Did you put some of yours in right?
@@liensgarden301 I have used the gel on my cuttings for the first time this year...I did that because the people on the FB rose group seem to prefer the gel so I thought I would give it a go. My parents always used the powder for all cuttings - roses and everything else. I have only done a few cuttings. My Mr Lincoln (which I have had since 1988) got hit by the neighbour's soccer ball and broke near the base, so I am trying to take a few cuttings from what is left. Very annoying neighbours have broken many roses and pots with soccer balls. Anyway, I also took cuttings from Beautiful Girl because I think it's a great rose. I shall get a few Parfum de Paris cuttings too.
