The Tren Maya from Valladolid is only 25 minutes and less than 100 pesos for locals but by the time you take a round trip taxi and bus to the ruins it is near 500 pesos. There are colectivos for 40 pesos each way between Valladolid and Chichen Itza. So, as we have said before, the train will work better for long distance travel.

Well, the answer is, the Tren Maya does not work for you. You can take it from the airport to Puerto Morelos and then take a taxi from the station 19 minutes to your hotel. It will cost you more than just booking a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. The time it takes to take the Ten Maya will be about one hour door to door. It only takes 33 minutes if you book a private transfer. The station is further back from Puerto Morelos and a little distance to your hotel. There is only one bus and it does not have a name. It is the only means of transportation from the station to the ruins. Everyone is guided to the tickets and everyone takes the bus. You cannot walk because it is about 15 minutes to the ruins by driving.
