EPISODE 1: ‘G’DAY KNACKERS’ An introduction to the Australian vernacular, with particular emphasis on their penchant for expletives and derogatory put-downs.
John Smith They have used it in their second episode, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DHQRZXM-4xI.html They can't mention everything in just one episode lol Australia is big. Its a fucking continent, not a country,
John Smith I'm sure they wanted to but they can't. I think it's illegal. India culture/censorship rules are weird. They did a good job despite not being able to use cunt though
It's not funny because of the Indian accent. It's funny because of the contrast between Australian bogan culture and the excessively formal culture the British left Indian education and corporate institutions with. The only time an Australian says "mister" is when they're in parliament or court.
@@IOUaUsername it's funny coz the accent too, that's no bogan Australia, this IS Australia, what you're talking about? Specially barbie, ozzies love it just like lots of people from other countries. Anyway, it's waaaaay too much analysis for a short sketch like this one. It's just bloody funny!
FYI to the boofheads accusing Indians of reverse racism, How to Talk Australians was written, produced and directed by 3 Aussies: Tony Rogers, Rob Hibbert and Jason Byrne. Developed originally for Australian TV, for whatever reason/s it didn't happen and Rogers, Hibbert and Byrne took a punt with a web series. These blokes know their Australian history. During the 1850s gold rushes in Victoria and NSW, jimmygrant was colonial slang for immigrant. Nice obscure touch. Season 2 please? Australian satire at its best - a subversive piss-take of ourselves.
There's no such thing as reverse racism, it implies only white people are racist, which, as we know is utter bollocks. If you were to put an asian man in a room an African man what do think would happen.
A recent survey suggests that 30% of Australians are casual racists. Which means, that 70% of them are full time I LOST MY SHIT 😂 I almost choked on my spit
I am a 71-years-old Aussie...born and bred in Melbourne, Victoria and all TEN (yes 10) of these videos are in MY personal Aussie-opinion...f - - - ing HILARIOUS!!!
I take my hat off to the Indians who came up with this, assuming they did. We Aussies like to take the piss out of ourselves but this is a double take. They are taking the piss out of themselves as well as us, I love it.
I don't understand what is racism if someone say something to something to you or use foul language you should do the same in return instead of crying racism..
These videos are absolutely hilarious! Favourite line: "A recent survey reveals that 35% of Australians are casual racists. That means that the other 65% are full time." (PS - I am Australian and I think this is the best thing I've seen in ages.)
Richard Osborne; being an english teacher is nothing to boast about.our kids are today mostly illiterate and uninformed. you should get a real job and try being productive and hardworking.
Haha, this is so hilarious!!! The aboriginal wearing clogs, because the Dutch "may have been here first." Was not expecting that little gem. Haha. Subscribed. Can't wait to see what else you've cooked up.
Hahahahaahhahaha this is true comedy gold! What makes it funny is the Indian accents using Australia slang lol.

Something about that just does me in. This world--& especially humans--it's all so much weirder than we ever imagined! I love a lot of 'accents', but Australian is maybe my favorite, all the more so when it's a Hindu bloke reeling it off.
Absolutely one of my favourite comedy clips of all time. I have never understood why Aussies and Indians are not much much closer as nations and people than they currently are. As this video proves our shared cultural history and sense of humour is huge. As an Aussie I have worked many places in the world and there are few people I feel an instant ease and connection with more than Indians. Love this.
Damian Coory well, everybody think this way. Everybody says indian and xyz country and race share lots common. XD We indians understand everybody nobody understands indian.
Damian Coory average Indian won't get the humour in this. This is definitely an Australian production using indian actors. It's indeed well made, Indian humour is pretty boring & childish in my opinion as an Indian.
Here in Australia this is called "takin the piss" we love to have a good laugh at our self's, Its the Australian way. Look at the majority of aussie comedy classics! “It is a curious fact that people are never so trivial as when they take themselves seriously.” Oscar Wilde
***** I agree, I hate hipsters... but understand that that being a hipster is not exclusively American... I know, im American... and it is NOT every americans opinion, to be politically correct... now YOUR generalising... I have lived here in Australia for 16 years and am proud to be a contributing member of the Australian culture... but I don't agree with disrespecting your own culture... taking the piss is one thing, but this video is offensive..
***** errm... not true. I hear it all the time. You might think it's old fashioned, good for you, speak your mind. But don't try and speak for 21million people.
I'm an Aussie and I absolutely love this show. This was fair dinkum the funniest thing I've ever seen and as someone on here points out, it was definitely written by Australians. HILARIOUS.
I'm an Aussie and the one great thing about us is that we don't mind having others taking the piss out of us cause we know how to laugh at our selves and not take things so seriously. Loved it well done BTW if the boomerang don't come back when you throw it it's called a stick lmao just sayin
+Angus1966 Does this mean every time someone tells you a joke you think they're trying to shit in your mouth? Pull the stick outta your arse ya fuckstick
Aussies are fuckin' awesome.... worked with some Australian commandos overseas... they're impossible to track and/or kill. Serious professionals. Respects from India.
Love your work boys, awesome. Coming from an army grunt and former police officer. It's shit like this that builds bridges between cultures. Good on yas!!
I nearly died laughing - so accurate and so so funny as an Australian who has spent time in Mumbai this year it captured it all so very well. They need their own show.
At a time when everyone's ready to be offended at every opportunity, its refreshing to find my fellow Aussies in the comments section having a good laugh at ourselves. This was brilliant. I love us.
This is bloody hilarious!! Top job Mr Rogers and Gang...absolutely pissed myself, and will be sharing with as many people as I can... Rapt I was able to be a (small) part of it...Two Thumbs Up!
As an Aussie with a Indian friend who's one of THE funniest woman on earth, i now understand why. This is bloody brilliant mate's. I'll chuck a snag on the barbie for ya tommra! Ya bloody legends!😂😂😂😂
Omg you people are really nice ... if same thing is done about india... you will find different kind of comments.... really nice sense of humour love you guys
I work with many Indian people here in Australia and we get along very well. We share a common sense of humor. We may have many cultural differences but I find Indian people will laugh a lot. The best thing is that there is a lot of things to laugh about Australians and Indians so as long as it's not meant to be nasty all is good. You know India will never be better at cricket and Tiger is not as good as Aussie beer though right? LOL.
the americans have the best sense of humour in my view......and i think country which have good ranking in happiness index have people full of sarcasm and humour...
I love the guy just casually walking past with a pallet load of Wini Blues. He also makes me think that is what Danny Trejo would look like if he was from India.
The thing I love about Indians and Australians, we can hang shit on each other in good heart..pity we are the only few in the world that can take a joke
shinra corp: I hope that this wasn't serious because Indians don't use this type of bullshit lingo! We've got so many languages from India and we've got our own indigenous slang from the motherland.
You can tell if you're racist by answering two questions. 1) Are you white? 2) Did you get up this morning? If you answered yes to one, you are Racist. If you answered yes to two, you have committed a hate crime.
This series is pure brilliance. The subtle images and in-jokes happening in the background are pure genius and can only be picked up on 3rd and fourth viewing which I'm not ashamed to say I just did. I am Australian and think that anyone acting offended by this is either a troll or not actually Australian. You could only make observations as deep as this if you truly loved Australia and had a deep affection for our bogan culture. I laughed so hard that my stomach hurts and I think I actually got an abdominal workout.
@@AryanSingh-ku7zb a compliment ... our gypsies come from india, is an indian tribe, like otomans are an asian, chinese mongol like tribe, departed long time ago ... even in india you have ancestral african blacks who came from the time of islamic rullership not only indian blacks ... we are all related according to the bible
as an honest to god Australian I can say that I personally am not in any way offended what so ever. I can see it as a joke and have a good laugh, we normally refer to it as 'takin the piss' which means that we insult it or be mean about it in a joking way. It's obviously not meant to be racist. the worst part is that a bit of it is true.
In case you weren't aware, this series is made by a couple of Australians poking fun at the way other nations have confused and stereotyped our identity.
