I'm literally in the same situation 😭😭 I'm a hardcore shy and socially awkward introvert, and I have so much difficulty striking up conversations. Even to my friends. So asking me to start a convo with my crush is like handing me a grenade and telling me to place it somewhere in my house. He likes me back, but he won't talk to me because, according to a friend of mine, he's too nervous. It's funny because he's the extrovert between us, yet totally has no idea what to say to me when we're talking. So I, the introvert, have to be the one to initiate the convos and step out of my comfort zone. Fun.

There this girl I really like but honestly I felt shy to talk to her. She complimented my handwriting which is a sign of interest (I think) So I wanted to do the same thing when I had the courage too! So how you Can talk to her or start a convo is stick to one thing you have in interest, whether it’s watching RU-vid, doing TikTok’s etc. Another way Is to Compliment her in out of class (I know I said this already but these are 2 ways I think it’s great to start a convo then you will slay the convo 😜

Talking to your crush even if it never leads to anything is a good thing keep it cool and pick up what your crush is saying to you, when you talk they will give you hints so not to make yourself ask them out knowing full well that they will say no if you do.
