Confirm they are pairs ( male & female) & Adult birds. Give them more protein rich foods and greens (Egg food, Sprouted millets & spinach etc.) Provide nesting materials and best box Watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1drHz0jj_vU.html
@@Azka-gr2pq Ok so my finches laid eggs but sadly they broke the reasoning for the birds death is probably bc it was unhappy in some sort maybe try giving them toys and finches love to fly around so maybe let them out but keep doors and windows closed and females tend to lay eggs around summer or spring hope this helps

I have a zebra finch called squeak, I had gotten him only yesterday so I'm trying to tame him, but because he has such a big cage he keeps on flying about so I'm going to slowly introduce myself to him so that he knows that I am no threat. Squeak!
the way I am getting a finch is by taking one from my little bro he just keeps the in the cage so I am going to play with them so the won't be so bored
I know this is an old video, but I really have to respond regardless. I really don't agree with starving birds to tame them. And certainly not in a video where inexperienced birdowners and children are taking your advice. I don't understand why you say also do this with budgies in the comments - if you show interest in your budgies and offer them treats on a daily basis (and not just the first couple of weeks) they will most often become tame. If you want to be sure buy a tame one. It is not that hard, but you have to be invested.
This changed my life entirely. When I was asleep I accidentally drove to my nearest pet store and requested for all of their zebra finches. They asked me why and I responded with the word " Lasagna ". They were confused but nevertheless they got me all of the finches, they didn't care to take them out of their cage since it would be too much work to put them in all of those cardboard boxes. I didn't pay and left the store, next day I wondered why there was so much beeping sounds. I checked to see and it was all of the finches I bought. I am now an owner of about 200 finches, send help.
That's crazy...2 years ago I bought a pair of finch.nd they breed give me abt 20kids....4i gave to ppl to adopt, some didn't survive(died, when they were babies)..now I have 11 at home..I seperate them based on gender...they breeding super easily..be carefull
This isn't taming, this is more forced. sometimes when you do this the birds won't actively seek out your attention and your affection so it's not actually taming the bird. If you were scared of something wouldn't you do anything it says so it won't hurt you that's kind of what's going on here. Taking away its food and forcing it to use you isn't the way to do it.
I'm not doing daily this. Only for one day, a few hours.. Now he is completely tamed . He is always playing with me. And I put him in my room without a cage.
for the people that want to buy a zebra finch or for the ones that already have one, get them a male/female depends on the sex, they are very socially active birds so they need a partner or they will eventually die. i have already 5 finches, 4 adults and 1 baby, she got out almost 2 or 3 weeks, im waiting for her father to stop feeding her so i can tame her.. nice video, keep up the good work! also, i have a question my first pair of finches had eggs, first time they had 4 and only one made it, the second time they had 7 and again only one made it.. can anyone please help me with this problem?
For the first two to three times parents do not understand how much time should they sit on the eggs and sometimes the eggs are scattered so, only one or two get heated.
Great video! I have a question tho, this zebra is still a baby right? His beak is black. So does it work with an adult zebra ? Also your palms suggests that you are a cosmetic healer. Check out rickie healing.
I noticed that the man I got my finch from just grabbed the birds that people would buy and they started to try and fly away from him. I think that’s something that makes it harder for me to tame him since he probably got used to that gesture :(
It is good video my finch named Charlie and Mary are finches .I gave them new home but scared with me I tried this it works so thanks ❤❤😊😊😊Is Charlie and Charlie is me or you.
I found one I'm my garden the cats trued to eat him I thought it was a maose but it was a brid I did not know what it was he kept coming in the garden so I gave him food one day found him ingerd badly I got him to the vet he was scared I got a cage for him and this is way I'm hear
It's not starving for long time. Remove feeder from the cage at night. And start training from morning itself. 2-3 hours is enough.. Train one bird first. After taming add another Bird to the cage and start feeding on hand. This time the second bird will come very quickly on ur hand.
@@finchforum6466 thank you! I haven't had a chance to do it yet but now that you gave more details I think I will start tonight! I'll post my results... 🌼❤✅
@@bloomstar1676 very serious...one thing though...i feel as if you have a lot to forgive...i hope you are not bothered by my intention to help..i just felt a strong need to tell you...
he is kinda shy wont let me touch him and gets scared when I move stuff in the cage but loves when I call him a pretty bird and talk to him and relaxes to music
How many days in a row should you do this hand-feeding? Once you stop feeding out of your hand and use a cup, will the finch still be tame and go on your hand or finger?
@@mihaialexandrucostache4501 I've been socializing with her for 2 hours a day. And her pair died because of lungs problems that she came with. This happened a year ago and my other bird is doing quite well
I just took in 5 finches all with scaly face mites. Any tips? I’m doing lemongrass baths and focusing on foods with vitamin A. Anything else? Two have white crust on their beaks causing damage. I want to help them as best I can.
Try using half water half vineger it works and its not harmful for finches bring any cloth spray some on the cloth then rub it on the finches (try not scaring them)
Inhave alot of fincehs then one day my mum found a random fuloy white finch in my garden so we caught it and kept her then we sold her and the couple a year later we named her lucky
Can u help me my Java finnches are in the cage for 3 months how do l train them? I can hand tame one finch but other is shy. I am having birds for the first time.
I have Zebra finch too female she becomes friend with me because I feed her and clean the cage , the girl start to follow me and I could feed her on my hand but after I bough a male he teaches her not to come close to me XD
Rosé Chun Chun talk to your bird when they're in the cage, and please don't put your hand inside it when they're in there, that'll just stress them out. The best way to get your bird to trust you is to set up a workspace where they have their food and you have your work. If you work on your own stuff, and let them hang out there in peace, they'll trust you much more. I put a tiny bowl of their seeds on my laptop when I'm watching movies in bed, and watch a movie with them. That seems go be the one most successful way that I've found so far, plus it's fun for both you and your bird.
So you starve him and scare him to tame him? I did it a different way, it took me a couple of weeks longer but now I have there full trust, I will post a video of them if anyone is interested in seeing and explain my method to tame them.
Sorry if I'm blowing anyone's bubble, but this is not a very good way to train a finch. Maybe that works long term with a parrot, although I doubt it. A bird's cage is his/her safe place, and if you put your hand in there for any other reason than to change their water and feed them, they'll feel unsafe, and they'll end up developing behavioural problems, plus they'll try to escape it on any occasion, and once they're out, they won't want to come back. Just thought to leave it here for people who are new to this looking for advice on how to tame their finch.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q2yq1XQnGEo.html They never try to escape.. this is my finch indoor aviary.. I'm keeping finches from last 2 year.. it's just one day training after that you not need to put your hand inside the cage.. check my other videos too.. all are tamed finches.
finch forum sorry, man. But from this video, it just seemed like the bird was getting very stressed out, when you kept moving your hand at him. I'm speaking from experience with domestic and wild birds here. Most of the time, taming a bird in a manner that includes invading their personal space just ends in unwanted side effects. Unfortunetly, most your viewers will only watch this video and then do that with their bird, who doesn't have an aviary to live in, and will feel unsafe in their own home. I'm not hating on you or anything, just trying to help out.
It looks so easy in a video, I got two zebra finches and it's impossible it takes a lot of time, if I do that they will probably crap on my hand cause finches crap a lot 🤣😂🤣.
I tried this method but except I didnt move my hand, Ive been doing it for months but it hasnt worked with my black cheek zebra finch. Any suggestions or tips?
Bro I tried keeping my hand in gently in the cage but they were scared of me i tried this for 3 min but they kept flying away scared I have 6 finches what should i do i had them for 2 months now
