We are raising a finch that we found on the sidewalk under a tall tree. There were 2 of them, but one was injured and died the next day. After nurturing “Tweet” for 10 days, he flew from the floor to my head as I was sitting watching him. What a thrill it was. He has absolutely no fear of us. We still have to hand feed him. His weight has increased 50% in 10 days. What fun and we saved the little guy.
@@maria3rls we fed our baby mashed boiled egg and oatmeal mixed with water and in a few days added papaya. We warmed this in microwave and fed her with a medicine dropper 7 to 8 times per day. She always let us know when she was hungry. We thought it was a male, but now quite sure she is female. She started eating seed , banana and papaya and gradually needed less hand feeding for about 4 days. Then she was completely off hand feedings. Now she eats bird seed, banana, papaya, cooked rice, green leafy veggies and one or two of my cherrios in the morning. It has been fun watching her mature. She flew 9 days after we found her, which was a surprise.
@@maria3rls you can use cat kibble, wet it up. You can even feed them with a siringe like this guy. It has everything they need, which is mainly a lot of protein. Or you could throw like grass hoppers, roaches, etc. in a blender. Make sure to feed the insects veggies like carrots and such so they get extra nutrients. Or you can wait for them to learn how to eat themselves. Worms are also amazing for them. You can mix in some fruits as well. Sun flower seeds, things like that. There are a lot of things birds can eat.
@@luisagrajaleswilkes1494 I've been feeding wild sparrows and finches for 3 years now. The young ones always make a lot of noise, nagging the parents to feed them. At first I bought them brioche burger buns. Wich they loved as they're full of butter. Then I learned bread is not good for wild birds. (yeast and salt)... Now I buy nuts and seeds. Salt free. All meant for human consumption, as my feathered friends deserve only the best. No old, stale or possibly mouldy bird food please ! I'm buying sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flax seed, flaked barely, chopped oat seeds, peeled unsalty peanuts, peeled walnuts, shavings of coconut, lard balls, and mealy worms.... I live in a country with roughly 8 months of winter, so the little wild birds need all help they can get to survive. 🥜🥥🐦🐦🐦 Stay safe and well. Love from Norway 💖
People who dislike birds say the noises of lovebirds , budgies, etc are annoying To be honest, these noises made by these finches are "magic music" to me. I do love them ❤️❤️❤️ Not annoying at all!! I love all kind of birds ❤️
Someday, I wish happen upon the right place on the right time, so I can rescue an animal that happens to need me at that moment and be blessed with their company for whoever long or short it might be. Thanks for taking care of these little ones. What a wonderful way to start my day.
Lovely scene... We shifted to a new flat on the 4th floor which was vacant for 1 year because of Covid and we found a pigeon nest with 2 small chicks on the outside window sill of one of the bathroom window and their mother feeding them every now and then and a few occasions we found chicks screeching loudly asking for food but the mother unable to fetch food and we started feeding her with nuts like fried gram and she in turn fed them... This started for almost 3 weeks and then the chicks were able to fly out and the mother/father still wait for me to feed them Thrice a day even after 1 month which has become a practice! Relationship built for long and exactly on time they make noise and wait for me on the window sill for me to feed them... 🙂
This same things happened me also but that is bulbul bird. That is asking food by flying to me and my mom too. We gave the food for four times egg breading. That was lovely.
I never had to feed any of my baby Finches ,the mommas did that , but I have to say this was the cutest thing to watch , I always loved watching the new babies get fed !!!! I really miss those sounds !!
О , боже !!! Сколько любви, нежности , терпения ! Очень трогательно ! Спасибо за красивое видео. Вам радости и успеха !😃💕✌У пташек просто "зверский" аппетит. Интересно - сколько раз в день вы кормили их.
My God. This is one of the funniest things I have seen for a long time. I kept laughing from beginning until end of the video. I am in bed with Covid, but this really made my day, thanks. Greetings from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿 and stay healthy 😷.
There are many wonders in the world. This is one such. The hands that care even small creatures are no doubt the act of God.There is great message for humankind from this video.
Strange! Normally its not possible to control and tame there type of small flying birds by human being. Fantastic I love and like to pet finches too much.

I used to breed zebra finches as a young teenager. They are lovely lovely little birds which are native to my country of Australia and exist in vast flocks of these little birds in the remote parts of Australia... When I first saw small newly fledged offspring, I thought they were baby sparrows which had somehow gotten into my avairy, due to their dull brown colouring and black beaks... So different from the natural colour parents.... I had forgotten just how noisy the little fellas were .... I also used to breed the domesticated soft beige coloured ones which when bred back to the wild coloured varieties, produced birds with very diverse plumage... Lovely little birds.
Не та мать что родила, а та которая выкормила. Какая прелесть, добро тянется к добру. Птички совсемь ручные. Интересно как же дальше сложится их дружба, на волю выпустит, а они будут рядом. Смотрим с наслаждением.
