Have you ever tried Simply Charlotte Mason's History? They use living books and a timeline! Also they combine History, Bible, and Geography so that is kind of what you were talking about😊

I loved "the couch" as your first tool! Literature-based learning is most of what I grew up with, so school on the couch with good books is very natural to me!

“I fell asleep in history” 🤣 I love history now but my middle school history teacher was SO BORING!!!! Lol it was literally filmstrips everyday! The only thing that kept me awake was being the one to click the film strips to the next slide 🤣
