hahaha lets go, I definitely go through dozens of ideas getting the final product but just wanna demonstrate my process for y'all :)

The journey is worth it i promise

Since i make all my samples and presets they're usually mixed properly from the start.....a lot of the leveling/gain staging stuff you see on the internet is just garbage from people that can't mix that well (sometimes), if you reference while you write and mix you'll see that most main elements are pushed really loud! Also a lot of these tracks are just initial ideas, so there would definitely be more mixing stuff in a final project. Ill do a video soon :)

@@kickbass3200 gotcha, I learned to produce by anchoring my kick around -10 db then mixing everything else around that and leaving ~6dB of headroom, so I was surprised to see all your channels and busses hitting around 0, saw the odd mob track breakdown and he was doing the same thing

There's another epic tutorial channel called Bthelick and in his "How To NOT Master Your Tracks", he explains the difference between the levels and actual hearing perception vs DAW capabilities. This is because of how these level indicators are programmed differently in DAWs, but no one really knows that.
