It is a two way street...your teaching us women to spoil men...when they are grown. I’m 58 years old and I haven’t seen this come across anywhere at anybody before like it has me I don’t know how much to put on here to tell you and see what you could do. Maybe like a telehealth whatever they call them like FaceTime type of counseling on the phone I can do that. See if you were interested in that because I need help! ALOT of HELP!!!! This Hass to deal with an old love repairing after almost 40 years and a Calling from God, and the gifts that you mentioned that we had received before we were ready and didn’t earn them and then now reappearing and everything has gone completely haywire around us. Both of us have had failed marriages. Nothing was ever good with anyone like it was when we were together And we have obstacles we have to fix right now. I really need to talk to someone in a major way. Not just anyone someone of your caliber. I’ve watched all these relationship gurus and so forth and you’re the one that’s got it together the best actually I can relate to you more than any because of your Christian background and because, you make more sense. If there’s a way that I could email you I don’t see one and I would email you my information whatever it takes and I’ll pay for sessions I just have to do something because I don’t want to lose this man again. If I lost him again, it would completely tear me asunder. It just about killed me the first time when I was 19-21 years old. We had some on-again off-again things he was 21 to 23 at the time we were really young and we had so many things coming at us and now we have a chance but there’s still things that need to be resolved and I don’t want to get into that here but I would gladly discuss it with you and see if you might help me navigate this. I am emotionally invested, and I did not even know it. When he called me, I turned into that 19 year old girl again. I had completely shut my body down my mind completely shut off I had no intention of ever dating or being in a relationship ever again to the point that I was even able to turn my libido off which for me is doing some thing that’s a whole Nother thing, but I had no desire I barely would even notice an attractive man I was dead inside, and as soon as he had messaged me that he wanted to talk to me, everything in my body and my brain and my heart started firing up like it was the Fourth of July. Ever see the movie Independence Day, and they had that old spaceship from the aliens and it was dead and then all the sudden it started firing up that was me things that I didn’t know existed in me anymore came back to life. I had just been praying to God to show me my path and then I get this. And then I got the message from you about our gifts that we weren’t ready for and then I start getting things happening that happened in the past, like to tempt me to pull me away, and I was not biting at all. Because used to if something went bad with us, he would go one way and I would runoff the other way and I ended up seeing other people because he was seeing other people, but he said he was seeing other people because I was the other people that’s what we realized right now, and I’ve had all of these men that I dated years ago even back when I was with him before start messaging me wanting to see me and I’m getting all kind of messages from Med that I know and I don’t know going bonkers. I have never been good at taking a selfie in my life. I look horrible right now in my mind. I’ve been shut him for 2 1/2 years stuck in a hospital bed with a broken leg that wasn’t healing. I go in for surgery next week so my looks like the best right now but I’m gonna take a selfie. And guys were going crazy over it and like I said, I’ve never been good with selfies. Well that had to be charmed by God it had to be I don’t know something I’m having testing after testing and I’m I’m passing him I’m not fighting not anything I don’t have the desire to. When he called me he was smiles because he says well, let’s turn on the camera I’m like no no no I said I look awful. He said turn on the camera, and I said OK, and he was smiling at me and he was just the same person he was then and to me he was everything. I need to talk to you about the obstacles. I know they’re over comfortable but I need some biblical implications to. I need guidance and I hope you can help me brother. You nailed it. Why some men don't understand that the little things they do are actually very big things to us that we truly love and value most. I would rather my man do all those things you mentioned then buy me some gift . I'm so not a morning person so if my guy simply makes me a cup of coffee and brings it to me with a smile and a good morning hug and kiss . I'm a happy girl . Sweet Little things matter so much . Communication is huge . We want to know how our guy feels with us and when a man can express all of his emotions. That's one if the biggest things we love the most . I would rather a man do that over him taking me on a vacation any day . The problem i think is that a lot of men think it makes them look weak if they express their emotions. Nope they don't look weak at all . I think it shows strength in a man . We also like doing all those little things he likes that add up for him too.

Yes I quite agree… I am in this relationship now where his actions are totally different from what he says. Sometimes I feel he genuinely love me but when acting I have this doubt about him, coupled with the fact he doesn’t assist me financially especially because I don’t ask of it but when I eventually ask, I feel disappointed with what comes of it knowing the fact he’s wealthy and can do better. I don’t know if he’s doing these things intentionally, if he’s trying my patience or what but honestly I am losing it asf. I feel like I am being financially abandoned and not taken care of.

This man did not want you. On another note your story is the exact story I used to use when explaining when explaining how to have a relationship with God. He tells you what he wants and you have to do it that way.People can't do whatever and expect he's gonna accept it and be happy with it. God's feelings are even more important than ours and ours are important. ❤😊

I want so badly that it is a part of his character bc if I have to mention to you that your breath smells often as much as I like you I can’t grow here if I have to raise you change you.. BUT maybe you never met a woman like me, a lesson like me, you never been with someone who cared enough to tell you brave enough to give the blue print. There's also how we tell them what we need. John Gray writes a lot about that... Men on the other hand are really not as simple as they'd like to think they are

Consider how you express yourself in the process. Are you accommodative? Kind in words? Empathetic in approach? Etc. Our tone and expression can limit our communication. Affective communication is key.

@@nessnahashon1004 This was years ago, but I have, it was a combination of both. I had to find a different tone and they had to understand that I'm not attacking them. I think it was some insecurity issues on both sides. Now, it's become a boundary for me to have healthy conversation. If not, we can't date. Thanks alot ❤️

If he won't give you what you need then you should end it. It will only get worse and toxic.

I have the same languages and I had to give my partner an example- If a child ask for a part of Nikes and the parent keeps buying adidas will that child feel seen and understood? NOPE. They feel unheard and forced to appreciate something they did not want- Your partner runs the risk of feeling unappreciated but thats their fault since u communicated what u needed.

It sounds like maybe he’s a little defensive or insecure about actually being able to provide that for you. Use kind words and a peaceful tone to explain what those things mean to you. And maybe touch his arm or give him a kiss when he does those things you need, even in a little way, for positive reinforcement :)

I can appreciate feeling like we could trust our partner that he truly cares about our feelings to enjoy other things
