there's a bigger question coming out of this video: if the storm IQ 78D is not in fact a true urethane ball because of the plasticizer that it contains then why did it need to be at 78 in the first place that hardness rule only applied to urethane balls on the PBA tourso if it's not a urethane bowl, honestly the 78D storm IQ is storms version of what the hammer NU is, and essentially it's the same thing-- if it's not urethane, it doesn't need to be that hard.🤷‍♂️

​@joehoenig7596 It's a scam, always has been. The sport of bowling is dying. Look at how many bowling ball companies have merged together over a short period because they were about to be bankrupt. It's no one-persons fault that it's dying. The majority of the most recent two generations don't take bowling seriously. They take it as a way of getting intoxicated, being goofy, and trying to knock down pins. Which is why a bunch of houses have converted to string pin. If less and less are getting into leagues, then why pay the extra expenses of maintenance for the more traditional pin-setting equipment? A lot of the old schoolies blame the two-handed bowlers, urethane, or something else for bowlings' downfall. But the sport has been dying since the 90s.

Yeah, they can. Most modern equipment, even plastic, is made with cheap compounds in the coverstock. It's not as likely with these, but it can happen.
