Nice to see Rayne's puppies doing so well as they transition to their raw food😊 I really like the idea of puppies wearing a harness rather than a collar and only when going outside!!

They are LOVING it! And they don't even have all their teeth in yet. Yes, a harness is much better for a dog and even the connotation that goes along with a collar is removed. That's a big deal for me.

HI Deb, Your PSK will be all ready for you to take home. Your food box won't be prepared until just before pick-up as we need to know the weight of each puppy to prepare the box for your puppy's needs - and also in case they have something they particularly love or dislike.

What about from a safety perspective if they slip the harness isn’t it good to have the collar as a backup with a double lead?

That's a great question! A well-fit harness is important. A harness that fits well will not allow a dog to slip out. A harness could possibly break though. Then what? In that instance, if your dog is apt to bolt or not respond to your cue to sit and stay, then having a second lead on a collar would be a good bit of extra insurance. If you do feel a double lead is important to have for your circumstances, you would want to be sure you keep the collar leash loose at all times so as not to cause possible harm to your dog's throat. Once your dog is well trained and responding reliably to your cues to "wait", "stay", "sit", whatever cue you need to use so your dog doesn't take off if they become unrestrained, then you can just rely on the harness.
