That’s really smart. I haven’t thought of this becausebut sometimes I can be a sucker for that types of flattery when it isn’t the most important thing or when it’s masking another problem. This is so true! It's not that we dont like getting compliments, but what's really important is for us to understand we are beautiful just the way we are. And, the best compliment I ever got/get is when people call me funny. My heart fills with so much joy to think that I can make people laugh. Idk why it's really precious to me❤

Ooo, this was such a good podcast topic, Kari!! Yes, I'm definitely examining the comments I receive from people more and more as I get older! While compliments about your physical appearance are nice, it's much more meaningful when someone recognizes a positive trait about your personality, interests, work, etc! :) It's a good way to tell who really cares about you on more than a surface level too! Omg, I totally feel you about hating the creepy physical appearance comments though. Those are the worst! Yesss, it's so true that physical attraction can only go so far! I would rather have someone know and love what's on the inside anyways :) Something I'm working on this year is not worrying so much about how I look or seeking validation from physical traits/compliments. So cool that you were interviewed for a magazine!

The older I get- the more I do that too 💗. Exactly! And I want people in my life who see me and know me for ME. Oof I’ve even had old men on here say gross things 🤢. It’s so inappropriate.
