Lyn.. 💚🌵 Having just commented on your latest Euphorbia vid (8/May/24), I just had to go back and find the very first video I ever watched on this channel years ago, and here it is in all its splendour! 🤗 Love the snow backdrop against the plants!! I'd been trying to figure out the difference between male and female obesa, saw pics, was confused.... and THEN this vid showed up in my search and after seeing that fab and simplistic little diagram, I TOTALLY understood the difference.. 🤣😁👏✊💪 Ever since then you have *never* stopped inspiring me and I appreciate you heaps!! 🙋🏻‍♀️💚

We just had snow yesterday! Thank you for the video! I was just asking green house owner about obesa and found out there is male and female but didn’t say how to differ them. Thank you Lynn! Informative as always!

The snow is beautiful. It's perfect weather for a cup of hot tea or cocoa. We've had snow twice in the last 28 years in my town. Thanks for this video. I thought if I just bought two plants I could cross pollinate. I'll have to bring a magnifying glass to the nursery!

Thanks for the info Lyn. Euphorbia obesa is on my wish list. I have never seen them sold here. Will you be watering your Euphorbia's a little during the winter or waiting until spring?

Euphorbia obesa is such a wonderful plant to grow and definitely one I would recommend growing and adding to your collection :-D I will be keeping them dry now until mid March when the days are longer, but if they show signs of shrivelling too much I will give them a small amount of water, thanks so much for your wonderful comments and for watching and sending you an abundance of love and happiness and heaps of PLANT POWER from Ireland and have a brilliant weekend XXXX

Sadly our snow over here was gone after 5 minutes and the only thing left is mud (which is les fun when thrown ).

Thank you so very much for making this video. I keep trying to find a definitive answer on how to tell whether my Euphorbia obesa cyathia is female/male. The information I find is very confusing. So thanks to your video now I know I have a male;).

Hi Lyn and Hans 😀. I've just purchased an obese and it has an offset. Are all offfsets the same gender or a mix? A silly question perhaps, but I'm learning...And you Lyn are 1 of my teachers :) 😀

This is great information! Even after reading online I still couldn’t figure out if mine was male or female lol. It produce a single flower this past Summer so I think it is male based on you explanation. I need to find him a proper female partner now😀.

I got a thorn from the Tiger Jaws cactus and my knuckle swelled and got infected. Big ordeal so I’m shocked to see you handle the cactus so freely

I hope you have built a snowman Mick haha :-D its certainly been a cold one this year for us guys in UK and Ireland and it reminds me of 2010 Winter that was unbelievably cold BRRRR but thankfully they have forecast the temperatures to go back to normal next week :-D XXXXX

Hi there, I keep my Obesas in my kitchen window all year, but you can definitely move them outside for the Summer months and then bring them indoors again in the Autumn / Fall, thanks so much for watching and have a wonderful Friday XXXX

@@desertplantsofavalon have you ever kept your seedlings out of bags? I do that with my seeds cuz i kept getting crown rot!! And mold!! It seems to work well!

@@claudekim7876 Hi there :-D I didn't have any luck with the obesa seeds which was a shame, I waited for about 4 months but none of them germinated, but I will be giving it a try next year haha
