Well done Daz!!! While you were pollinating with the brush, I was thinking ... on those little guys with no spines, you could... ok, your doing it!! Direct contact of the flowers!!! Great also on taking off the covers on the pots when they germinate. I've tried both ways, and it seems the seedlings of Euphorbias don't like the excess moisture like cactus do. I just keep em watered and they do great!!! Best of luck with them!!! I think most of your seed is good! Maybe the one symetrica will be good!!! Can't wait to see!!! Thanks for sharing Daz!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK and Singapore, have a wonderful day, Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌💖🌵🏵🌺🌿🌲🌻🌳🌹🌴🌷🪴😃👍

Thank you so much, Clyde 😊 Yeah but when I tried that pollination method all the top dressing fell out the pot! 😂 Really hope that one dark symmetrica seed germinates, but if I can get 50% germination on the obesa I’ll be happy. I think I need to track down a male symmetrica now! Thank you for watching and commenting as always my friend. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself to you and Deb 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜

@@Cactimania Yeah, the one thing about Euphorbia seed, it can be kinda finicky. I've had where it looked like they were all good & only have a couple come up. On the other hand, I've had where they all come up good. I know they don't store very well. Not like cactus seeds where you can plant a bunch and get a bunch, most of the time anyway.

Am I the only one who suddenly thought of Mendelssohn’s wedding march when you used those veils…I mean the nets over the Euphorbias?😆 That tiny male E. obesa was definitely potent! Lucky dude! Kidding aside, another great video, Sweetheart! The close up shots were astounding. Thank you for your hard work and patience. This video took long to do. Hopefully the seeds germinate so that all those efforts would not go wasted. Always proud of your work, Sweetheart! ❤️🤗😘💚

Haha nope, I was thinking the same when I was putting them on the plants 😂 Very potent male lol. I doubt any of the pale symmetrica seeds will germinate, maybe a 50/50 chance with the darker seed. The obesa should be good, though. Even if I just get 50% germinate I’ll be happy 😊 Enjoyed watching with you as always babe. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement ❤️🤗😘🌵❤️

WOW Daz :-D this video is absolutely AWESOME and really incredible and detailed instructional video on How to pollinate Euphorbia Obesa and Symmetrica and really amazing close up in sharp macro filming, and the seed pods are fantastic, and such a fab idea with using the net to catch the seed explosion, its a shame with the Symmetrica seeds but fantastic news with the Obesa seeds, and we have learnt SO MUCH from watching this video and so looking forward to the update on the seed sowing, thanks so much Daz for sharing such an INCREDIBLE video, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith tons of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a brilliant Thursday today XXXX

Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Yeah bit of a shame with the symmetrica seeds, I think I need to try and find and male symmetrica lol. Hopefully the majority of the obesa seeds germinate, I’ll be happy if 50% come up. So happy you both enjoyed the video, thank you for watching and commenting as always. Thank you, much appreciated 😊 Don’t think the symmetrica seeds will germinate. There was some more pods on it today that fell off, same tan colour seeds inside. Fabulous video Daz! I think it’s one of my favorite you’ve made. Sorry about the symmetrica seeds! I hope the one at least makes it. Excited about your obesa seeds. Thanks for this video. I believe my obesa is a male. I need to buy some more obesa in hopes I get a female. I hope you and Edith are having a great week🌵😂🌺🌷🌻💐🌸🍀
@Cactimania

Thank you so much, Forsythia 😊 Yeah bit of a shame about the symmetrica seeds. I’ll probably have to track down a male symmetrica for pollinating, be a good experiment to do to see if they then set viable seeds. You shouldn’t have difficulty getting hold of a female obesa, obesa are more widely available now than they used to be. Glad you enjoyed the video. How long do you keep the lid on for? And do you water the seeds once a week or just water once at the beginning and leave the lid closed until they germinate? Thanks 🙂
@Cactimania
@Cactimania Год назад
Leave the lid on until they germinate. After that the soil should be kept moist at all times. Taking the lid off just eliminates that constant 100% humidity environment which can rot them out. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
