I'm a hairstylist of 20 year and I want to say I enjoyed your video very much. I specialize in ladies short haircuts and hairstyles so I learned a while ago to fade and have the back tight so that my clients don't have to go and find a barber to get them right after they leave me. I wanted to learn how to do a tapered fade to cut my son's hair. We tried a few barbers but it just wasn't right. Blending wasn't tight. I not only learned a lot from you but you confirmed I am doing some things right already, like having them look down to tighten the skin or sometimes putting a guard I already used back on to go over something I missed. It felt good to know professional full time barbers like yourself do that as well. Please keep up the good work and give us more.

Have been watching youtube barber tutorials for a good 2 or 3 weeks now as i begin learning to cut and between your product and the fact you sit and give step by step instructions verbally plus little side notes you give probably my top 3 barbers to watch. Some cut real good but just play music in the background and for a new banter thats not very effective in learning techniques etc so appreciate the extra time you spend giving that extra for your videos dope barber giving good motivation to up and comers like myself #salute from LONG BEACH CALI

Hey man thanks for the vid big help! Q? How long you been cutting? And how long did it take for you to notice and say to yourself that you're confident with any haircut and that your cuts are coming to a 90%- 100%, I know there's always room for improvement. I've been cutting for about 1 year and some change now and I've noticed my progress but lately I feel like my skills have came to a halt, I need something to fall in love with my own cuts again.
@Bossiocuts
@Bossiocuts 9 лет назад
Marvin Urena it took me a long time between barber school and the first year in a barber shop to feel confident that i would even consider being a teacher of the art. id say it was my 3rd year cutting where it really click. i think the learning curve should be shorter today because of all the information out there.. have you gone to any beauty convention or barber battles? that motivates me alot man. as cliche as it may sound theres nothing like seeing todays industry leaders under one room showing you whats possible in the barber game!

I've seen a lot of haircut tutorials...you are by far the best. I love the care and attention to detail that you show, and it's proven in each finished cut. This is what I expect from my barber, but I'm constantly disappointed with lackluster skills and being charged $20.00 and up for not even half your detail and sharpness. I purchased an Andis kit and have been going for self ever since I seen your vids. Feels good to have people asking "who cut your hair?", and you reply back "I did...I cut my own hair". I be smiling ear to ear :)

I had both. IMO since my hair's straight & a bit bigger than my thumb (I get my barber to just trim the tips of my hair), tapers give it them clean ass bald sides & long top hair with an edge up. Taper fades get you the bald sides then smoothly transitions into the longer hair, hence "fade". They both have a lil fade, onlyy differene is one is more subtle & the other just kinda pops out. Idk maybe it's just a Houston thing but tapers & taper fades are two different hairstyles. It really all depends on the way you style it & if you have the eyes to tell the difference. I had both so ik which one is which. I'm getting taper fades atm

my fellow colleague, I just sub to u in hope that it helps u out. I will be telling other barbers here in Miami to check u out. NOT only u gifted but u stay grounded and check back on all ur work for details like a beast. staying very efficient with time also. I'm turning 40 next month so I've been on scene for some time. never true as last 5 to 6 yrs. yet nonetheless I've met my share of true men with barber life mentality. All I'm getting at is thanks for awakening the Giant in me cause I've been stuck for a sec over a nondescript who only skill is hating and manipulation. Always great to see and listen to the truth! many blessings

Good tutorial. If possible, keep them up. You're a pretty good instructor . I would post a couple on beards . a lot of people think beards are just a couple of lines but I think it's very important for the beard and mustache to be even also... Other than that .. Thanks for the video, great advice bro ..

Man you just motivated me to cut my kids hair. I know overall how it should all look but I’m always scared of how to manage the blades to blend. This thought me a lot.

Yes depending on region they call this cut differently. Here in LA it's called temple fade. Focusing on the temples of the head only, and the nape area. Good looking fam.
