@@cody4real yeah it's tragic that it currently bounces right off them, grenade launcher too. Overall chargers just need to be adjusted as they're way too strong for how many can spawn at once during breaches
@@canihave1dab724 unlocking later warbond weapons just for them to be unplayable was such a letdown. I tried the spray and pray shotty and it literally could barely damage anything past a scavenger with pellets reflecting off light armor every shot. Needs a huge rebalance and it wouldn't even be hard. Fingers crossed they can do it soon
You were saying the rail gun is your go-to (and I won't argue it's effectiveness) but I've been running the Expendable Anti-Tank over the railgun lately. It can knock the armor off a charger with one shot and if you hit the head you can get a Bile Titan in two shots. People forget how short the cooldown is for EAT (70 seconds standard or 63 with the ship upgrade) and it allows me to run a different support weapon in the meantime like grenade launcher, machine gun, autocannon, etc. I just liter them all over the map and I've never really found a situation where I'm waiting for it to come off cooldown. Just my two cents
Definitely a fair strategy to run if you're diligent about tossing them down! I've found that more often than not they're just not there the moment you need them so having to wait to call it down ends up being a chore. Most missions are fast enough that my orbital laser will get exactly its 3 uses off and it has a wider range of uses so I prefer that plus rail gun for coverage of every mission use case. Maybe 1 person running EAT is worth it though similar to autocannon or grenade launcher!
Depending on the mission I'll usually run autogun standard but I'll throw the EAT on as another strategem. The cooldown is so low every time something big shows up it's usually available, I'll briefly swap, fire off the anti-tanks, then pick up the cannon again.
Bit late to the party, but one of the first things one of my friends taught me when i started playing Helldivers was to use EATs to take out chargers. 1 shot to the head, and its gone. And as a bonus, if your aim is off and you miss the head it will still blow off the armor of whatever part you did hit so it can no be killed easier with primary/secondary weapons. EATs are so amazing for chargers, i always bring them on bug missions.
@@unclemumble The quasar cannon can also one shot a charger with a head shot as it's charging at you. You can also take out a bile titan with a few head shots with the quasar as well. You can also get under it with an auto cannon or grenade launcher or other heavy weapon.
U failed to mention that all the spewers can be taken done with one impact granade. u can even get multikills on them with one impact. Thats max efficency ;)
Does anyone else think we should be given a little bit more time to stop the reinforcement pheromone bomb/bot flare? I almost never have enough time to react to them and the only times I'm able to kill them before their reinforcement call goes out is if my crosshair was basically already on top of them. 500ms extra time would make all the difference where if you're actively looking for it you should have at least a chance of taking it out.
Just to add onto this, lower level missions will spawn the non-armored version while higher levels will spawn the armored version in the video. I also believe the lower level ones can't use their ass mortar.
Maybe that was different several months ago when he made the video, but yeah, that’s all I’ve been doing for a while. I usually run the recoiless rifle and I’m never scared of chargers. Their head is a really easy target when they’re running right at you. The only hard part is finding time to reload it afterward.
Dude I swear the devs don't know how to make a health bar and damage. Sure, a bug can do x amount of damage, but I don't think they account for what so many bugs can do in a SWARM of them. Then they give us limited lives, which is understandable, but like damn if you do that you have to balance out the damage a swarm of bugs can do. Unrelated, but fire damage is sooooo irritating and broken too. According to helldivers, if you get lit on fire by a singular lick of fire touching your boot, your blood turns into pure absolute gasoline and you get instantly cremated and vaporized to molecules. I think you should at least have time to stim yourself before you incinerate, or just make it like any other games fire, which is draining small prices of your health at a semi-slow rate, Instead of taking chunks off every quarter second. This game is amazing don't get me wrong, just the health is sooooo broken
I witnessed another bile titan attack last night but sadly I didn't get the clip right. I destroyed the sack underneath it and kept running out a good few meters away from its front legs to keep agro away from my team, once it got close enough it stopped and stomped the ground a few times in the way I can only describe as the donkey Kong down special and it staggered me enough to fall and let it catch up and step on me. I'm not sure if this was a glitch or something but it was an amazing sight to see regardless.
I personally don’t understand why people think bugs are more fun to fight than bots. Bugs require very specific stratagems to effectively counter where bots you can do some jank meme builds and still be somewhat alright
After months climbing my way up the ladder I’m 1 step away from a helldive but I’ve noticed something recently did the difficulty get easier? lol level 7 extreme was next to impossible for me when I jumped from level 5 to 7 lol there was just to many bugs and even with flanking and using my strats at the absolute most best time I can a friggin stalker would just charge in and destroy me lol but now I can easily handle 2 or even 3 of them alone…maybe it’s my weapon choices lol going full FPS with the trusty machine gun works but ammo is gone in seconds…
Some people actually aim for the legs on warriors? lmao I never do that and always aim for the head and rarely take their "enraged" attacks because they're slow as hell and even if they charge you without a head they barely have any health left and you can easily drop them or dodge them.
What of the concern for why media is so demanded: like the endless stream of consumerist dead-end jobs? Why wouldn't ppl seek r & r like drugs and media when so many are over qualified for their jobs, and the economy seems to be chugging along just fine w the object of increasing consumerism? You think media consumption grows on trees?
