hi Paul, i got a bolex H16 and its mechanism is completely stuck, the winding is blocked and the shutter was stuck and the trigger doesnt do anything. any advice? thanks!!
Hi Michatroschka, it would be great for you to send me a detailed video explaining what the problems with your Bolex H-16 are. It could be so many things. If you just purchased it recently the 1st thing a Bolex (or any vintage movie camera) will need before running film through it is to get the camera a new CLA aka Cleaned Lubed and Adjustment. This is because these cameras have been put away in grandad's closet for decades. Therefore, all the lubricants within have collected dust, dirt etc making the camera not operate at all, run slow then stop. Another thing is that the camera's motor could've been over-wound. Bolex "claims" that they can't be over-wound but "they can". You're welcome to send me a detailed video to me via Twitter @paulmorbid , WhatsApp at +63-0999-321-8691 or fb messenger (Paul Morbid). Unless you have lots of experience with servicing Bolex vintage movie cameras don't take it apart. ~Paul~
