Nice video. I'll throw in that I plug only the vacuum line that returns from the intake manifold. I put a plug snugly inside of it where it would plug into the intake and secure it in place with silicone tape while I test. It makes it a little easier and you can do it all on the passenger side. I usually boost leak test when I do an oil change, just to double check.
Yes, but for smoke I would start the top of intake right after the MAF. Don’t run smoke over the MAF. The point is to check for unmetered leaks so the starting point for smoke is best at the top of the intake tract.
@@paddoqclub good point. I used a smoke machine that put a small amount of pressure in the system. Not sure if any seals were blown, no oil on the ground or oil consumption.
