For all the English learners out there 🌎...don’t get demoralized over the judgements of others when you speak in English! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by practicing! 🗣 Keep going! 🇨🇦
Thank you for saying that. Some people are very rude and when you talked to them, they said to you "I am sorry, I didn't understand you, it's your accent."
I love how antonio explained everything as simple as possible and didn't try to put us in a difficult situation on how to learn english. More impressive when he presented it in casual way, making sure we understand what he's trying to say and the pronunciation just great, love it. Tqsm antonio, we all can feel your sincerity for teaching us English 👍🥰❤💕
How can i be like you someday...speaking English language with fluency is my greatest dream I can understand all I watched and read but i can't speak to it...
I myself am a native English speaker and I used this video to help me do the same thing in Spanish. I have been studying it for 7 years, yet I only started to grasp it in the past few years. I know I am a native speaker, but I still love watching your videos because I love learning new idioms and words, especially words that sound completely different than the spelling, like boatswain. I want to perfect my English and want to be a polyglot just like you. I'm tired of saying things incorrectly like "most bestest" rather than "best", or perhaps "There's apples here" rather than "There are apples here". Gracias por este video. Usted me ayuda mucho. No podría hablar mejor inglés sin usted. Ich liebe Sie. Viele dank! (Ich lerne auch Deutsch)
I don't know if you already got across with the channel called English with Lucy. She is British, an exellent teacher online and also she speaks Spanish. I'm sure you will learn so much more from her as well. Her content is brilliant and more advanced. Well, Antonio is as great as shes is, but there is room for everyone else here, right? All the best!
@@MyDanymax Thank you. I have watched her many times. Her videos are very helpful. I've been trying to think in Spanish for so long now, I'm surprised that I still can't. Only seven years of learning it... I do enjoy watching English with Lucy, so despite the fact I had already known her, thank you for the reccomendation.
Without realizing i have also started thinking in English. Not at every point in time but yes, many times i start talking to myself in English and i start speaking with others too, spontaneously. So, what you are saying is relatable. Definitely!!!
@@Neo-Reloaded 😂thats funny... well, when I say spontaneosly, i do not mean with everybody. I speak 3 languages on daily basis. You must know to whom you are speaking to in English. When I say, i speak spontaneously, i only mean with my peers, family members, friends, and colleagues. If i start speaking with my house helper in English, that would be foolish, right?
Hi Antonio 👋 Spanish is my mother language and English is my second language which I started to learn when I was seven years old. My dad put me in a bilingual school where my subjects were in English, i.e. math, science, social studies, geography, history, even religion. Besides, all my teachers were Americans. So that was my "artificial" environment, mainly in school. But my dad took care of buying lots of books in English and encouraged me to read a lot at home. Because of this I was able to find a job at the Panama Canal Commission and the U.S. Army bases stationed in Panama (my home country) back in the 80s. I worked a total of 14 and a half years as a U.S. Federal Government employee, listening, writing and speaking English, Monday through Friday. Can you believe that I have even dreamed in English?!?!?!?!? I don't dream that often though. In the year 2000 I started working as a theatre professor at the University of Panama. In 2003 I was able to go to Missouri and study an MFA in Theatre. But... In my late 50s I started noticing that I was forgetting my English, and I realized that I was not having as much English exposure as I used to have back in the 80s or my two years in Missouri. I panicked as I was forgetting my English. So I started watching TV programs and reading out loud, and I even found a bilingual church where I was able to make new native English speaking friends. But now I found your channel in You Tube!!!!!! How awesome! I get to review English with you! I especially love the pronunciation challenges and vocabulary (I enjoyed so much the one with kitchen utensils 😄❤😄❤😄❤😄❤😄!!!!!!) By all means, keep up the good work you are doing. Lots of "luvings" and blessings to you! 🌻🌻🌻❤☕
Hi Myrna, if you dont mind, could we be friends ? I am a regular viewer of Antonnios channel and i want to speak English more fluently and confidenlty..
I agree with everything you said in this video. When I decided to surround myself mostly with English, I started thinking in English more and more often. Now I even tend to use typical English phrases in my native language, which sometimes makes me sound weird lol. In my opinion, the most important thing is to never think of what you watch, read or listen as something boring or study-related. You have to enjoy what you do☺
@@englishwithantonio Thanks for your useful tips. I’m bad at listening and speaking.I had to read the script while watching your video.Otherwise,I can’t totally understand what you said. I have learned English for eleven years in my school education which focused on exams. After a long term of learning,I still don’t know how to use English in many many scenes. Languages mean ways to how to think. When I want to say something in English,my native language comes out first. Then I will translate Chinese into English in brain. So the expression is Chinglish. It doesn’t follow the way of English thinking. I can’t totally understand the English essays which are written by foreign writers but I can understand the ones from native writers. So I have not built the English thinking in my brain.I always doubt that my expression is wrong. Rather than learning English, I'd rather say I'm doing translation.
You are such a good teacher and always encouraging people without judging. You should be teaching young kids and teenagers. You are an absolute inspiration!
I love the way that you have to explain each details about how we can think in English. I speak spanish and I am learning more English with you ..thank youuuu ❤
Hi Antonio, you can't imagine how much I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you so much for your efforts..Hopefully one day I can speak English fluently.
Hi Antonio! To be completely honest I have no idea how my "thinking in english" happened. What I know for sure is that I have from a very young age a huge passion for the language, because of poor education due to english teachers' lack of knowledge of the actual language I learnt everything I know by self-teaching. Watching tv shows just as you said, movies, all the settings of my devices in English, also reading in English. I had the great opportunity to be reccomanded by my school to take part in a program that required moving to the USA for either 6 months, a year or 2 years. I've stayed there for a year and week. I fell in love and my english improved drastically! It is so important to keep practicing and most of all to enjoy while you do it! I'm sending you a hug! Keep up the good work :D

Thank you for giving us these tips 🤗 this video is extremely helpful and useful as well. I always get perplexed whenever I try to speak in english 😅 at that time I feel so nervous 😣 and embarrassed. But I did these tips when I started learning English and it really helped me a lot. Once again thanks a bunch for it. We should be consistent and have faith in ourselves that we can do it.
I've got some difficulties to speak in English but I can understand every words that you said. How can it be? Do you articulate more than usual people? Precious video, dear Antonio, and very practical, brilliant tips to learn how to effectively surround our environment with English. You're abosultely right, thinking is the easiest thing and like everything in our lives, needs practice... And determination. Super thanks🎼🔝
Wow Antonio it’s so impressive how you teach English you make it sounds easy and simple Thank you for your time and effort really Appreciate it ❤️🙏🇺🇸🇱🇧
Antonio: "If your English is slow. if your English is broken, it might be so because you're still thinking in your native language" Me who's English is native language 😆
How to start speaking in English: - surround yourself with English - watch movies in English with English subtitles, - listen to podcasts, - change the language of your devices into English - Stop translating everything (try to think it already in English) - keep your mind active (try to name what you see, to describe what you see, think of what you did,of what needs to be done, of what you will do tomorrow in English) - Have small conversations with yourself and if you don't know the words for something, try to find alternative ways of saying it - keep your sentences short and simple
Hi Antonio! thank you a lot for your sharing. I'm not good enough when I use English but I want to sent for you message with this language to say your voice is so clearly, beautiful and positive energy.
Reading was the primary practice and biggest gain toward fluency since it expanded my vocabulary when I started composition 1 in college. I was scared to express myself, but everyone else was in the same boat there, and I realized at the end of the course that that was the sparkle that achieved my fluency. That said, we all learn differently, and I completed my listening 100% by working with American people in general and avoiding hanging out with my Spanish fellows during the week. Nowadays, I hang out with both, and English comes naturally, but it took me a few books to read, which I guess was the most extensive practice ever. Do not be scared since it is a transition to learning another language. You got this😉
@@batman5754 Well, this is what happened. I learned English back home and moved to the USA, but that barrier did not allow me to express myself 100% well, so I was still insecure and always stuck in conversations due to the same daily situations. When I started college here, I was empowered to read daily at home and in class with every professor I have been with, expanding new vocabulary, new terminology since nursing is my field, and new ways of saying things differently. So, that was the last step in correcting what I was missing in my ESL final learning phase after all those years of insecurity while speaking English in public.
That’s how I love about you teaching in English you’re giving us the trick and easy steps to do it hope I’ll be to speak in English with no fear and hesitation like you
The problem that I have is that I can understand everything you say as well as English teachers, but it's very difficult for me to understand English when I'm watching a series.😭 I feel that I'm stuck in the same English level for many years and I really want to step up into the next level. What can I do?
Thanks Antonio your videos always motivates me I am so glad that the words gonna start comes in my mind and I like your accent the way you speak is so satisfying... Thanks Antonio for your amazing videos... Just keep going

Hello Antonio. This is from Myanmar and you are my adorable English teacher. I found your RU-vid channel recently. You make me active in learning English language. So, Thank you Antonio so much.
I have felt so bad because I had to stop practicing English because I had a baby and believe me when I say that I have no time to watch a movie or anything so my whole environment was exclusively in Spanish which is my native language. In addition, when I started working as a teacher I had to teach the little ones so my vocabulary could not increase for obvious reasons. It all triggers that I was not able to get my B2 certification this year, I got B1.2 instead. I do not know what happened with me? Uff, my baby boy is 2 years old now and my goal is to get C1 certification which was the degree I got before everything happened that's why I will be following you dear Antonio. If I reach my goal, I promise you I will let you know. Let's see what happens. Sorry, but I just want a space to vent myself.
Me encantas Antonio. Soy mexicana y vivo en Francia. Me gusta mucho cómo explicas el INGLES . ME HA AYUDADO muchísimo para continuar aprendiendo inglés . Lo haces muy muy bien ❤❤ Gracias 😊
Hi everyone ! Those were great tips Antonio....let me share my experience, my parents spoke spanish at home and we lived in the USA so everything I had to do and say was in English during the day, but at home I switched my chip to Spanish. We did this for a period of 20+ years and now I am able to think in both languages.... it is really easy for me. Thanks for your tips !
