Greetings from Poland. I back to learn english after 40 years break and I am very glad that I came across to your video. I am looking forward the next meeting with you. Thank you.
Hello, My name's Aron I live in Cuba and I study english. I have seen many teachers, but however you get something special when I heard you. I would like that you be my teacher. Your teach are so good.
These below could be considered in helping us thinking in English or other languages : #Name or describe (if unknown) the things that we see around. As continue with this, it becomes more of a habit, so things are going to pop up in mind. #Think in sentences to what we see, feel, touch etc, starting from simple one. Once this becomes easy, you can move on to more difficult sentences. #Describe our day using simple or even complex one. #Thinking in conversation, imagining ourselves speaking to someone else. Asking the questions and thinking the replies. This could be a good way to practice what you might say in real coversation. #Do not be lazy to practice in mind and be confident. Nice share with you😊👍
Thank you for sharing some of the things that work for you. You have some great ideas for how to practice. I hope other students will benefit from you message!
For me personally also works (to switch in english thinking): writing short essays, comments or similar about a subject (job context, news...) present it to a friend, who asks questions afterwards. So I practise to express thoughts and concentrate on the question and the other person
I think it's helpful for me to read a book and listen its audiobook simultaneously, that force me to not think in Spanish. Although I don’t understand everything is a good exercise.
Greetings from Turkey.I have seen many teachers but however you get something special when I heard you.I would like that you be teacher. You teach are so good.Thank you for videos.
Having learned ESL, I developed fluency rather quickly . But it was while learning Spanish that I realized that my brain desperately searched for Spanish words to make sentences and the Spanish file in my brain lacked content. I've never resourced to Portuguese, my first language, to speak Spanish. My point is, once your brain develops the mechanism to speak a second language, it'll operate the same way with the other languages you're learning from day one. You can actually feel your mind switching files for different languages. Currently my brain struggles with Italian. Cheers from Brazil.
Yes, that's exactly what I do most of the time 😀 I've been learning English for years and I still translate in my head, you're right ! When I feel comfortable I rarely translate in my head and when I feel tired, I translate in my head all the time 😀
I can totally relate! For me making sure I get plenty of rest and take care of all my needs is a part of my learning routine! Also, it's great that you practice your English on your English Channel1
@@Neman548 hello neman. My name is Ruslan. I want to chat with you. I started learning English 2 mouth ago. And i need anyone with i can communication. Please write me, if you interesting.
Hello I am from bali . I really like the way you teach ,your channel motivates me to learn more english . I almost stop studying it and even reading english for a donkey year . You are very kind and nice. I must improve a lot of things, but my listening is my worst hability. However, I could understand you 80% of your speech. It happened because you speak slowly to help us. Thanks so much!
Thanks Tanya. It is a good idea to warm up our brain before conversation. I use to watch English RU-vid everyday to keep my learning on going. I don’t know how much do I get every time, but I want to get a vibe of English.
Hello. I'Mona from Egypt. I am 63, an engineer. I like reading in all subjects. That's why I am brushing up on my ENglish skilks. I first saw you was on youtube. Thank you for your videos.

Teacher i express my gratitude here to tell you that this is the first channel i ve never use subtitles to listen to be honest....you have reminded me my ENGLISH TEACHER so that i dont feel nervous and felling comfortable whenever i started to watch your lessons...ONCE AGAIN I THANK YOU.
Thank you so much for this comment! I am so glad to hear that you feel comfortable here and that you can understand. Also, that means you have done a lot of work on your English! Congratulations!
The most important, and was the reason for my subscription, was the the way you pronounced the word “comfortable” dividing it in syllables, THAT HELPS A LOT pronouncing correctly, gaining confidence. Thanks a lot.
Mrs Tanya speak fast but still easy for me to understand ,my English really poor and...your lesson so helful 👍👍👍.Thank you very much. A poor student from Viet nam.
Hello Tanya. I am from Perú. It is the very first time i saw you and you remind me of my English teacher at the Institute. I enjoyed it so much. I love the way you teach. Greetings from Perú.
I never "think" in the language I speak!! Flowing is the word to me. I speak Portuguese as a native, and I just don't "think" or we've got to find new words to explain this psychological process.
Great tips Tanya¡¡. It sound good "warm up your brain before speaking english". I usually watch videos on you tube for ten or fifteen minutes. I try do it every day but I´m still traslating english spoken in my brain... :(. Thanks a lot and have a productive morning¡. Greetings from Spain. Jose.
You madam are a great person. I thank you everyday for help me to improve my english. I am from Brazil (portuguese language) and I am learning a lot of with you. God bless You. See you.
Hi! I like your idea, I am usual I práctice speeking by myself, I like how you are explained the words that's a nice way to talk, in English, I need stop and think about the words that I was pronounced .😀

Thanks a lot! Can you also make a video about phrases and commons conversations to talk with a kid? That would be much helpful to bilingual languages kid
Hello!! This is Seungbin. I firstly watched your youtube today. The order of Korean language is perfectly different from English, so I always translate in my head before speaking in English. Title of this video interested me. I hope your contents helps me a lot!! Thank you so much for your good teaching!
Thank you for listening Seungbin! Nice to meet you. I think you will also like this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zQMDsTLN57I.html

Korean is completely opposite to English. So translation is somewhat unavoidable I think. But the name of the game is how to reduce the time to do it to the maximum. Thank you for your insight and tips.
Hello Tanya🙂. Great topyc!...I am working hard trying to avoid translate to Spanish 😁Thanks for your recomendations. I am Nora from Vebezuela, by the way.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience in learning how to improve a second language skill. It closes the gap between teacher and student because we're learning from someone who knows our difficulties. I listen and read more than I write. What can I do to improve that skill? Can you recommend some site or channel or podcast where I can learn about english grammar? Thanks. Marcos from Brazil
Marcos, thank you for your comment. I also listen and read more than I write. I would suggest getting a list of conversations and answering one question a day in a journal. This helps me. Also, Teacher Tianna on our team teaches writing. Let me know if you are interested in a one on one writing class.
@@EnglishCoach3Ts I didn't understand your suggestion. Could you explain that giving some example, please. In relation to the writing classes I cannot afford one at the moment. Maybe when things are better for me. Thank you for your kindness.
Hello teacher, how's it going? I'm Willian from Brazil, your videos are amazing, I don't have words to describe how incredibly you guys have gone in my English life. I've been studying English on my own for 4 years, and now I try don't translate to from Portuguese to English, in my mind, for 1 reason. I don't have time to do it. Currently, working in an International call center, I need to listen to my customers, understand them and then speak with them straight away. No time to translate from my native to my second language.
Hi Willian! Nice to meet you! I am so glad you are here in our English learning community! You are doing a great job of learning English on your own. Keep up the great work!
Hi, there! I'm Adriano and I'm from Brazil. I try not to translate in my head. I do try to think in English. I found your video today. Thanks for sharing it! By the way, I'm teaching italian to myself as well. I think a good way to think in English is by reading a lot or watching movies, e.g. when I'm reading in English my brain switches from portuguese into english, would you agree with me?
Se você encontrar pessoas com inteligência emocional, para te ouvir e quer te ajudar é ótimo 👍 Porém se encontrar pessoas que se acham Melhores do que você, aí você terá uma experiência ruim 👎
@@EnglishCoach3Ts he said: if you found peoples whit emocional inteligence to learn you and help it's good. But if you found peoples who think are better than you, you go got a bad experience. im brazilian and im trying to speak english, i think all the words are correct. thank you to help me to learn in english!
Hello from Barcelona Tanya, I try always to think in English when I'm speaking with someone but sometimes I can't remember some vocabulary because I get nervous. I speak also German and sometimes when I speak in English, words come first in German in my head because I'm used to German language more than to English language. Thank you so much for your videos Tanya.
Your technic of thinking in english is needed for communication as in other languages, really. I first realized this tactic about 20 years ago when I'd stayed among English-speaking tourists on Koh-Toa 🏝 island for 3-4 days. After that I automatically started thinking in English instead of translation from my Thai language to English. So for me.. 1-memorize new words without translations to your native language. 2-practice pronunciations clearly like stress, high-low intonations ,linking sound of alphabets etc. 3-practice listening in only 1-2 accents as British, US.firstly. 4-should find situations that we have to communicate only in english etc. for more than 5-7 days to realize some technics by yourselves. I like you teach neatly in pronunciation of words " comfortable " and practice readings without translation, too. Thanks a lot.
Hi Tanya. When i go to bed at night i usually try to retell certain things or all the things that happened during the day. I don't realize whether i think in English or not. I'm not so sure. But but i never surprised to myself creating a new thing or situation in my mind. I could be an example. Best wishes. Susana from Argentina.
Hi again, Susana! Always great to see you here in the comments! It sounds like you are thinking in English. If you were thinking in your native language you would find yourself needing to switch back and forth and translate. This is a great practice by the way. Keep up the great work!
I agree with you, I became more comfortable in spanish when I allowed myself to make mistakes. Before I would not speak if I was not 100% sure of all the words (especially the verbs used at the right tense...). At first, I used the present but specified "yesterday, I am walking in a park". This is a good way to speak even if you know all is not correct. People understand and it allows you to be more comfortable. I do not know why but, for me, english has always been easier. One of the best ways to think in english is to read in english without looking up at all the words, only the ones coming back very often. Sorry, you may have mentioned this tip but I only listened to a few minutes today. Thank you for your lessons, they are great to refresh my memory!
Agree! Using an English to English dictionary instead of any bilingual dictionary is key. Knowing English definitions, examples, and phrases really help to think without translating from our mother tongue. That doesn't mean, of course that a bilingual dictionary is of no use. When learning, we are like plumbers: we need to carry a large set of tool in a large toolbox. 🙂
Thankyou Madam Teacher...for your tricks and tips..."to thingking directly in english itself without translating to my native dictionary...but translating a certain unknown word from english to english dictionary"..that is the ultimate idea from you Teacher I take benefitial../ Thankyou...I am from Indonesia
This is what i am looking for. I want to improve in my English.I'm assigned in front desk work and many times the guest talks to me in English and i find it hard to communicate so well in conversation
