The character is so well written and he displays some interesting traits. The reason why people are so attached to the character is much due to how he has integrated his shadow, although of course on the extreme side. I work in healthcare and have met some people that come off just like Tony Montana, in terms of presence and thought process, same generation as Al Pacino as well for the most part. These people are often intelligent, courageous and know exactly what they want, which is why they can be very vicious. People don't become extremely successful because they make a lot of compromises, i'll let you read inbetween the lines here. Consensus being that extremely succesfull men are like that much because an extra-ordinary personality, magnetic, personal presence, confidence and most of all, ruthlessness. Which isn't something that most people can or ever will cultivate. It works for the world of business and economics but quickly often becomes very toxic and delusional in the normal world. There's a reason why sociopaths make great bosses. But like the character says at one point "You need people like me" as to signify that people like him that embody the shadow to such an extent; should teach us to atleast be a bit more authentic in ourselves. Because if you're very inauthentic, you're afraid to express your shadow and vice versa.

I disagree with your point at 04:50. Omar didnt accept Tony's demands because Tony commanded respect. He basically put him on a suicide mission. Because he was being so brazen Omar's friend mentioned the Colombians like it was a job they have been looking for a sucka to take and here Tony is just the useful idiot they needed. I grew up idolizing Tony ever since I was 4 years old back in 06 when the game came out. On my 5th birthday my dad got me the movie. I'd like to think I think like Tony. I've sure lived my life under his wisdom of to never brake your ball or your word to no one, and dont fk anyone over who doesn't have it coming. I'm glad to say I've been living by my balls since before I even started school. Lol

And Im happy to hear that you added Don Eladio to your list and that you are so motivated on making a video about him. I think he is a really interesting character, even though he only appears in 4 episodes (including Better Call Saul). But I think you can quite find some stuff about him, when you watch him interact with other people and if you listen to what other people on the two shows say about him. Would be pretty interesting to see how he thinks. He is a very humorous character, but a pretty intimidating one too. Good analysis but you don't mention some things that I think are key ingredients in why tony is effective. One is he is highly competent, enough to justify his high self confidence/esteem. Another is he has strong principles that he absolutely refuses to deviate from (refuses to surrender and refuses to kill innocents) which also makes him credible

That's price stuff thing right here fucking true. I've learned this from my Old Man and from my own expiriences back in the days. There are a lot of guys running things who can do anything better as I do, but no single one of them can set the price for their service so high as I do. Don't have any fear about it, because there are only two answers you can hear - No or Yes. There is always someone who is gonna accept your offer. It's not about being the best, it's about knowing your own value. Remember, never be a bullshiter and try to snatch them with poor, overvalued service. You can snatch someone just once in lifetime. Do the right thing, best you could but always know your price and they will come back with more money for you! You must be stupid if you are good and set your value down - you end up working hard for nothing and you never gonna notice it.
