Any pitching instruction that doesn't show an actual pitch being thrown is incomplete. This is a very difficult pitch to get right if you want true 12-6 action. Seeing someone else execute it properly is a must.

you dont need to snap your wrist lmao! all you have to do is throw it downwards and throw overhand. gravity and its topspin will cause it to drop

The point of snapping your wrist is to create topspin. And if you are throwing fast enough to get movement on a pitch, it would otherwise travel in a relatively straight line. Their is basically no natural drop from gravity on a 4 seam fastball, which is why the flick is necessary

@@yourmother3108 who said anything about fastballs, also fastballs do have natural drop and the spin created fights the air and makes it stay up. and 4 seams have backspin not top spin
