they should actually patch a "practice mode" into the game. You can choose the pokemon you want to face by your own and you have infinite Pokeballs. That´d be great tho

I thought this was going to be silly and obvious tip, but I have been playing pokemon go since the beginning and I was still throwing curveballs from the centre... So much easier to throw it from the corner. Great tip man!

This hasn't been doing anything for me for about a week, but I haven't gotten out to play much. Today I was out with a bud for maybe 4 or 5 hours and challenged myself to keep at this for every pokemon, landing ELEVEN excellent curves by the end of the day. Absolutely brilliant advice my dude!

I want to thank you! I've been stuck on the last part of catching Mew forever, and I've never been able to even do a "nice!" curveball before today. I watched your video last night, and roughly 100 pokeballs later, I got my "excellent!" curveball! You rock!

Thank you!!! I watched this video earlier today, and since then I've been much better with my curveballs, and finally managed to do an excellent one for the Mew quest! (I recently started playing again after stopping for almost 2 years so had done none of the special research) So thank you 😃 I was so bad at curveballs, it would have taken me months to get an excellent one if I hadn't found this method

Good video. I think it may have been more helpful to show your hands on the screen than just the screen capture though. Its hard to see the release etc from that. How does the release spot change based on the height / distance back of the pokemon?

This method totally worked for me! A sudowoodo appeared and this was the one time I was thankful it jumped out like 10 times or more. I got 3 excellent throws and 4 great throws in a row using your method. THANK YOU!!!

I have to thank you. I watched this video a few days ago. Something just clicked and my accuracy rate has gone up by a lot. My catch rate has therefore improved and I'm getting maybe one or two excellent curveball throws a day as opposed to per week previously.

Ive just started last Thursday so I'm not very good at Pokemon go, I do play the DS games though. So I've been trying to look up tips and tricks on how to make this easier that way I can catch up to my friends that have been playing over a year. Ty! Been trying to curveball from the center and was horrible at it. I was also having trouble hitting the backfield as well. Your technique worked great and I am able to hit Pokémon in the backfield more. Ty!

Love this video! I had previously never been able to catch anything with a curveball - they would always go wide. Now I'm consistently getting "Nice" and "Great" throws. I think some more practice and I'll start getting Excellent. Thanks so much for explaining the mechanics.

I learned this EXACT method purely by accident! I messed up & released a few throws "too early" & wound up getting Excellent... Anyways this method is funny to me because, technically speaking, the ball doesn't really curve at all! It looks more like a "spiral"... (How you throw a football, duh!) But hey you still get the bonus, so it does work! So screw it, im gonna use it!

The Mysterious Search quest has an objective that I had to do 1 Excellent Curveball. Without knowing this it would be very hard and Pokeball spending.

There's about 3-4 "levels" of how far back the pokemon are. Super close (like pidgey), medium (like hoppip) and the far guys (like Ponyta) I feel like there's a level in between those. Also, if you hold your finger down until the circle is at an "excellent" or close to it, then you throw the ball (without touching it) when the pokemon attacks, the circle will stay where you've "set it" and you'll hit them more often.

I've been able to do the curve ball since a long time, I always have used it But I'm suffering a lot with the part of the circle. Before I did like 3 excellent throws one time with one pokemon, but now I haven't been able. I always have been getting "Great!" and "Nice!" ;-;

I have tried every other method to throw the curve ball and had zero success. this is the best method out there by far. it works for me on the Legendries, I'm 5/7 Lugia. 6/7 Articuno. and 5/6 Moltres with this method. Thanks for posting this video
