I'm constantly impressed by you knowledge of where your fly tying materials come from. Not many people know of the purple tiger bird.

i've been watching your videos for several years now and i have to say its nice and refreshing to see a avid outdoorsman like your self that really enjoys themself like you do. you don't take yourself so serious which makes a lot of vids seem boring. keep up the good work and do go commercial.

love the how to tie flies series, i have been dabbling in tying my own flies and after watching some of your videos i have a better understanding of how to assemble a fly. Keep up the great videos! tight lines

Hello my name is Matt. I wanted to say that I love watching all you videos! I started watching you years ago. The first video of yours that I had watched was the penny lure! I swear I watched that video about 50 times and it seemed to get better each time! I was so inspired that I made 10 of my own and caught so many bass and panfish on them! I love watching your fly tying videos mainly because that is all I do. I have been tying for about 4 years now and have also tied at 6 expos! I am 16 years old and love watching your videos!! If you are ever in the Boise area in Idaho, hit me up because I'd love to meet you! Thank you and tight lines!

Just subscribed to your channel. Not only are your fly creations unique and creative, but I really enjoy your sense of humor. "Tiger bird!" I think it might be a Maribou Stork (LOL) that lives on an island in the Amazon River called Maribou. The maribou used by fly tiers is obtained by chasing down the birds, and plucking the feathers. The birds are left alive, but there are a whole lot of naked Maribous running around. A tribe of pygmies make their living being Maribou pluckers.

I am shopping for a new vise but your hand made jewel is beyond my budget. I have been using my Thompson AA since 1973. Where did you get tiger bird feathers? Seriously. Buggers large and small are often my first choice. So, I marked this video to watch again.

i got a idea for a challange/video , what if you were lost at sea (or just a really big lake) on a boat and all you had was the cloths on your back, your rod ,block vice ,that thread spooler thing and 3 hooks (and maybe a random old t-shirt) . what kind of lures would u make using only that stuff ?
